"And is that everything?" The cashier asked him.

"Yeah, it is," Jisung said, taking off his toque to run a hand through his short ashy brown hair, feeling the pins that held his ears down and fluffing his hair, covering them further, trying not to stare at the cute man in front of him.

"And you had no trouble finding anything?" He asked, passing the wide range of items over the scanner and neatly putting them into a bag. A consistent 'beep' ringing from the till.

"Yeah, the milk, but I'm an idiot, so it's okay I guess..." he said, chuckling nervously, readjusting his thick fluffy tail wrapped around his leg, (concealed by oversized sweats) passing it off as an itchy knee.

"Your total is $17.95," the cute cashier said, lifting his head up, smiling 'cashier-ly' at Jisung.

Jisung pulled out a twenty from his back pocket, trying to hide the blush creeping up his cheeks from the seemingly oblivious cashier, and his very aware roommates. He handed the boy his money, avoiding eye contact, eyes landing on the crooked nametag, reading 'Minho'.

"$2.05 is your change," Minho said, dropping the coins into his hand, soft fingertips grazing his rough palm.

"Have a nice day." Minho flashed him a big smile, lightly waving as Jisung stepped back, not wanting to leave yet.

"Y-you too," he mumbled, accidentally bumping into Chan. Changbin snickered, dragging him by the arm out of the store, bags in hand.

"Y-you t-too," Changbin teased, once they were in the parking lot. Laughing when Jisung threatened to punch him in the arm.

"You should have asked for his number Ji," Chan said, getting a better grip on the milk carton in his hand, the cold air nipping at their fingers.

"C-can I please have y-your n-number," Changbin teased again, bursting into laughter when Jisung tried and failed to kick him from behind.

"Lay off you two," Chan frowned, handing Changbin a few extra bags so he could open the trunk of their hand-me-down car.

Jisung smirked watching Changbin struggle to hold the extra groceries. Changbin took notice and mumbled 'y-you t-too' under his breath, and the two glared at each other momentarily before getting in the back seat.

"When are you going to fix the passenger seat, Chan?" Changbin complained, shifting the assortment of winter gear into the trunk before buckling himself in.

"When you start taking shorter showers." Chan retorted. "Seriously  though, Ji, ask him!"

"How could I! When I look like this!?!" He grumbled, slamming the rusty car door.

"Ji, we've known you forever, and we can bail you any bad situation," Changbin started, patting his knee, his tail twitching at the touch.

"And asking for his number would've been fine!" Chan finished.

"C'mon, man lighten up!" Changbin encouraged, seeing the grim expression that Jisung wore.

"Yeah, we have cheesecake!" Chan added, Jisung could see his warm smile in the mirror.

He'd never felt more grateful for his two friends.
