Lunar was sitting inside of her pre-algebra class, listening to her teacher, Mrs. O'Leri, drone on and on about unit rates or something of that nature. Instead Lunar was watching the pure white snowflakes fluttering down from the sky and onto the ground. She sat in the front left corner, so she was slightly surprised that Mrs. O'Leri didn't acknowledge her. Lunar didn't mind not being noticed, of course. She enjoyed watching the snow gather beneath the window ledge.

Eventually Lunar broke out of her daydream and forced herself to focus on the lesson. The last time the aqua-haired had checked her grades, she was managing a C+ in pre-algebra. Her parents considered it below average, so Lunar was pushing herself to get better grades so she wouldn't disappoint them.

Twenty more minutes of class passed until finally, a remix of Four Strong Winds rang through the middle school, signifying the end of  grade 7's class and five minutes left for grade 6 and grade 8 classes. Mrs. O'Leri let her students gather their textbooks and such and allowed them to talk for the rest of the five minutes. Lunar rose from her seat when she spotted a black-haired girl walking towards her.

Alia Shelesh, aka SSSniperWolf. Lunar's best friend since grade 3. The two girls met in the boy's bathrooms, and they were best friends ever since.

The music ended as the black-haired girl reached Lunar's desk. "Lia, do you have today's geography homework?" Lunar asked, smiling at her friend innocently. "Uh, yeah. Why? Wait, let me guess. You were playing Overwatch instead of doing your homework?" Lia smirked as her best friend nodded shyly. "Jeez, Lulu. What am I gonna do with you?" Lia shook her head teasingly. Lunar rolled her eyes and snatched her friend's homework from her binder. She quickly scribbled down a few answers and handed the paper back to Lia as the bell began to ring. This bell warned grade 7 that they only had one minute to get to their class. The bell stopped ringingand the grade 6 students dashed out of their classrooms. Lunar and Lia followed suite.

Lunar rushed to her locker and punched in the combination. The rickety locker door creaked open and Lunar grabbed her English textbook along with her folders and binder. She closed the door as the one minute bell rang in her ears. Wow. It's surprising how fast five minutes can pass. Lunar speedwalked to her English class, which was a few feet away from her locker. She stepped into the class and into her seat. The bell face one more ring before stopping, signaling for classes to start.

A few students arrived late and blabbered out an uncountable amount of excuses. Lunar listened with only one ear as she opened her textbook to the page the teacher asked everyone to. It provided a few paragraphs about how people write and use 'their' incorrectly. Lunar sighed as she scanned the long parsgraphs. This is gonna be a long period.

The day eventually ended and the students were released. Lunar searched for her siblings at the front of the school.  Her sisters were in different grades, and her little brother was currently in primary school. Funneh and Gold, the middle and the second to oldest children of the Krew, were in grade 7, and Rainbow, the oldest, was in grade 8. Lunar didn't see her siblings much during the school day, but she didn't kind. It just meant that she could think about gaming strategies to beat them with during the school day.

She spotted her sisters chatting near the parking lot, Rainbow watching the cars turning into the lot out of the corner of her eye. The roads were icy due to normal Canadian weather, but people could be unpredictable. Lunar sighed as she felt more snowflakes flutter onto her hat. She shivered when one drifted onto her exposed neck.

"I thought it was supposed to be March! What's with all the snow?" Lunar heard Funneh's complaint from a few yards away. "Stop complaining! I thought you were used to having snow during spring." Gold's voice was dripping with sassiness. "I am! I just hoped that the snow would 'chill' out!" Funneh smirked at her pun. Gold groaned and Rainbow rolled her eyes good-heartedly.

Lunar finally reached her siblings. "Hey, Krew! Did I miss anything?" She asked, rearranging her hat to cover most of her head. "You just missed my awesome pun! Now Gold's giving me the 'cold shoulder.'" Funneh giggled again. Gold looked about ready to smack her younger sister. Rainbow was quick to intervene.

"Hey, how about we start walking home? In case you haven't noticed, it's freezing out here!" Rainbow began to walk away from her sisters. Lunar scrambled to catch up with her, nearly slipping on the snow.

On the way home the sisters made idle chatter about YouTube and doggos. Rainbow was talking about how she had to do a project on Europe when Funneh interrupted her.

"Apparently there's going to be some new kids immigrating from Ireland," Funneh mentioned. Lunar slightly tipped her head to one side. "How do you know?" she asked. Funneh smiled mischievously. "Jessica told me. She was called to the office and she was told by the principal himself that she was going to be their 'student ambassador'. I wonder what grade they're in."

Gold's eyes shone with curiosity. "I wonder if they're twins. Or what they sound like. Or maybe if they have any special clothing from Ireland." Gold continued to ask questions that nobody answered. Lunar just shrugged. Why does she care so much? They're just two kids from Ireland. No big deal. Lia's half Greek. But even so, Lunar's curiosity prevented her from brushing the news off. It doesn't matter. I'll just meet them, and then that'll be it. Yeah. No more.

On the rest of the way home the girls talked about nothing else but Irish fashion and accents.
