Violet is a 16 year old girl who has recently moved, she's started a job at Starbucks. The same place where she reconnects with her childhood crush.
Violet's POV:
Not too long ago I moved back here, the place I was born and raised in. I left this place because my mom found a better job somewhere else. I said goodbye to my middle school friends but I didn't get a chance to say my farewells to Clementine Everett my crush. She had short curly hair, dark skin, hazel eyes and of course a blue hat with a D on it. Everyone kind of bullied her for being a "orphan freak" I was bullied for being a lesbian and Sarah was bullied because she is really sensitive. One day we all sat beside each other and bonded over being bullied. Before I knew it we we're best friends who stood up for each other and others. I still miss those days but of course we frickin moved to a shitty ass town. I'm just glad to be back though I probably won't be seeing Clem or Sarah anytime soon.
It's my first day on the job to be more specific my first day working at basic bitch heaven, Starbucks. I know I could of chose to work at a greasy fast food joint or something instead of the place where almost every white female teenager dreams of working at. Maybe it won't be so bad I mean it's better than working at a sketchy gas station with 3 year old hot dogs and rats that carry rabies. I entered the building and took out my wireless purple headphones. I take a glance at the place it seems like no one's here, "hey it's me Violet the girl who just applied here." I say calmly. "Aye is there any one here?" Yup no one is here, I'd figured I would be late not early considering that I rode my bike here because my mom "had" to use my car. I felt two hands wrap around me I was about to kick this person's ass until I realized who it was. I turned around and saw a Latina girl with red glasses and black hair tied in a bun. "Sarah!?" I asked. "How you doing Vi." Sarah said sweetly. I turned around to hug her tightly, "how did you know it was me!" I said excitedly. "Well your hair is still as short as it was in sixth grade and Green Day was blasting though your headphones." Sarah said sarcastically. "Come on we got a lot to talk about but first let me teach you the ropes." Sarah took my hand and lead me behind the counter. After a couple minutes of teaching me how to work the coffee pot and make cappuccinos we began explaining what happened after I left. Sarah told me about how her and Clementine tried to run a lemonade stand, the time her dad taught her spanish, and how she got this job. A hour later a girl walked into a store but not just any girl, a girl with a blue D on her hat. The girl had short curly brown hair tied into two ponytails, glossy red lipstick, hazel eyes, and dark skin. "Hey clemmy!" Sarah said sweetly. "Hey Sarah!" Clementine went behind the counter and hugged Sarah. "Ordering your usual Clem?" Sarah teased. "Nope I'm actually trying pumpkin spice out since Carley keeps on telling me how delicious it is." I smiled, "Carley's still somewhat basic" I said under my breath. Clem must have heard my comment, "How do you know who Carley is?" She asked. "I um...." I paused trying to form words. How was I going to tell her that it's me Violet the girl you probably forgot about. "Clementine it's Violet the girl back in sixth grade!" Sarah said cheerfully. "Vi wow you changed hell I didn't even realize it was you." Clementine ran up and hugged me. I felt my face get warm, she's so cute. "Ok you two can catch up later I need to teach Violet how to make a basic white girls favorite coffee." Sarah joked. Clementine finished her pumpkin spice latte and told me all about how her life has been since middle School. Soon Clementine was about to leave Starbucks, "Hey Clem!" She turned to face me on her way out. "You forgot your purse and..." "And" I felt the anxiety crawl on my back I was about to ask for her number. "Do you wanna go to my house sometime!?" I asked nervously. "Sure, you, Sarah, and Marianna can meetup sometime maybe on Halloween." Clementine said goodbye to Sarah and I. "Clemmy and Vi sitting in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g." Sarah hummed. "I can hear you!" I yelled at her.
