*Sigh* "Something has to go wrong, doesn't it?" said a woman in a lab coat and surgical mask.
"Excuse me? Dr. McCarthy?", says a mysterious man in a lab coat as he enters the room. "I'm sorry to bother you, but the team and I were running a couple of tests when we-"
"What did I tell you about interrupting me?!", Dr. McCarthy yells as she gives a glare to the other doctor. "Next time you plan on walking in on me when I'm busy, you'll be deadass sorry."
"I had no idea moping was considered being busy."
She lets out a long sigh. "What is it, Keith?"
The man who appears to be Keith hands her the clipboard he was holding." As I said. We were doing more tests and studies on Test Y205. We gained some more information, but we'll need a few more tests on them before we'll have the complete image. The next appointment will be on this Friday."
Dr. McCarthy flips through the pages that have been presented to her on the clipboard. She stays silent before saying, " What's this all about it being a 'ghostling'?"
Keith moves closer to her and points to something on the page. "The hair. It's different from their parents. We tracked down their past family tree, but it's unknown. We could only assume that it's from the random mutation, which is-"
"Ghostling..." McCarthy finished for Keith. She hands him the clipboard as she stays silent as she walks towards her laptop. "But the last time we occurred a ghostling was subject X26, and that was almost 24 years ago. And we all know what happened to her."
"The lab was almost completely destroyed and there was no trace of her.."
Another quiet moment fills the lab other than the clicking of the laptop.
"Jenny... Are you alright?"
"Yeah... It's just... Do you think they could be connected, Keith? X26 and Y205?"
"We can't be completely sure. This is a random mutation we're talking about. What do you want us to do about this?"
"Call Micheal and tell him to come here with the child. And then we'll check up on Damien's kids. What was the name of the subject, Y205?"
"According here, it appears to be Blue Studio. They must of named her after her hair color. How strange."
"Yeah. Strange."
