Mike studied my face as I thought about Lucas. Could he use his ability to give life back to Ryan and David? Is Ryan even dead? Has Lucas even found them yet?
"You do know that there's no way Lucas can find you here, right?"
"I don't need him to find me, I can protect myself."
"You're human, your physical abilities won't become available to your use until you're a werewolf."
"How do you know that?" Mike's face brightened.
"Oh I forgot to tell you!"
"What?"
"I have a scroll, it gives a lot more information about the chosen one. You are extremely important. Your abilities will be endless and the person who becomes your mate, which will be me, will have way more abilities. I won't turn you though. If I turned you, you'd have the power to leave. Enough talk about this for now, just eat your meal then we can make sure you have enough energy for tonight."
"I don't want to do anything tonight."
"Don't make me tie you up, I was going to do it anyways but I don't want to damage your skin permanently.
"Do you not want me anymore?" I saw his anger rise.
"Of course I want you!" I said slightly too fast but he didn't seem to see through the lie. "It's just that I don't want anyone hearing us...enjoying ourselves." He frowned, but looked less like he wanted to kill me.
"... Yeah I don't want anyone getting to hear you in pleasure besides me. Okay, I'll let everyone pack up and leave before we do anything." That would at least take a day, right?
"They'll be gone by morning." What?!? I thought I had way more time than that. Mike stared at my untouched plate. I took the hint and began eating. I had to force the food down my throat.
