Chapter 2

Maya POV

"Doctor, can you tell me something ! whats wrong with me ?" I tried to say while fighting back tears.

"It's something we call tender tummy." he replied while grabbing his equiptment and signaling more nurses to come in.

"What the hell is a tender tummy, you mean chicken tender ?"  said angrily.

"Tender tummy... is when you have an infection in your womb and if it is not treated, it can increase a risk of heavy bleeding or bleeding to death." he replied looking a little aggrivated.

I froze. How could this be happening to me ? I wanted to just yell out and ask God "why me ? what did I do to deserve this ?" but I didnt, my mama always told me everything happens for a reason.

"Here you go" one of the nurses said speaking to the doctor.

She handed him a big , sharp needle. I was scared for my life, panicing , trying to find a way out of this but there wasnt any.

"Whats that for ?" I asked with a shaky voice

"Dont worry , it wont even hurt, just like a little pinch." the doctor said with a smile walking closer to me.

"Stop , wait ! pinches hurt dont you stick that needle - ... "

I wasnt able to finish my sentence. Before I knew it I was all drowsy and weak. I felt at peace and then slowly fell asleep.

Tyrone POV

I pull up to our house and stomped angrily inside and to the room. I sat on the edge of the bed hurt, at a lost for words. All I could do was pray that Maya would be okay. I mean were suppose to be getting married , start our new life with our child. She cant die , how will I raise Janae alone ? She has to live , she's my better half ! I started to get mad and I didnt know how to let all this fustration out. Before I knew it I was yelling out and crying to God. " Lord why must you take Maya from me ? You can take anyone else away , just please not her !" I said throwing myself to the ground in tears. This was going to be a long night.

Maya POV

"Goodmorning" I heard as I slowly opened my eyes.

It was Tyrone. I knew his voice from a mile away. To know that he was right by my side put a smile on my face.

"Goodmorning, what you doing here ?" I said trying to sit up.

"To see my beatiful fiance" he said giving me a peck on my lips. " Now lay down you need rest."

"You right" I said looking down at the bandage on my stomach.

Tyrone held my hand and smiled,  which told me he cared.

"You know you a strong woman right bae ?" he said looking me into my eyes.

"What you mean ?" I asked with a confused look on my face.

He took a deep breath, so I knew he was about to say something real.

"Bae I just want to say that ... -"

He gets cut off by the sound of a nurse running in worried.

"Whats wrong ?" I asked nervously

"It's Janae ! She's missing " she said trying to catch her breath.

"Hold up, what the fuck you mean MY newborn baby missing ?!" Tyrone shouted pissed off.

"You better start speaking , or ima catch a case and be on the first 48" I said aggresivily.

The nurse didnt say anything. She just called other nurses in and also the doctor.

"If yall dont tell me what happend I swear im beating all yall asses!" Tyrone yelled out annoyed.

"When we went to go get her from the recieving room , she wasnt in her bed and no one knows where she is or could be. I'm sorry but your daughter has been kidnapped. We've  contacted the police and they are on the way to investigate." the doctor said frantically.

"Yall cant check the camera's or nothing ? Man get the fuck out of here ! This dont make no damn sense !" Tyrone said getting loud with the doctor.

I tried to stand up and leave the room to see for myself but the nurses wouldn't allow me to because of the surgery.

"Aye yo , let go of her !" Tyrone said getting the nurses off of me.

"Security !" the doctor cried out.

Tyrone was excorted out the room and into the lobby after putting up a fight. I sat in my bed crying asking myself what else could go wrong ? I just lied there desperate for hope. I wasn't about to let it end like this. I was going to find Janae even if it meant risking my life.

Tyrone POV

Them bum ass security guards made me sit in the lobby. Who the fuck they think they is ? They asses better be lucky I didnt have my gun on me. I started to think about everything that just happened in the last day or two. I remembered me yesterday yelling to God about letting Maya be okay and not to take her and let it be someone else.

"Oh shit." I whispered to myself.

"Did i do this to Janae?"

I started crying helplessly. I was so worried about Maya that I wasn't paying attention to what I had said. I couldnt help but feel like this was all my fault. I had to tell Maya.
