Chapter 2: Lotus origins

It was a stormy night on the island of Aquarius which is were our story is set. Santiago The king of the land ,who was lotus's father , was excited since today was the day that his beautiful wife Queen Sahira was giving birth in the room down the very hall he was pacing in he was so nervous and worried until the nurse beckoned him " Your grace the deed is done " the nurse said as she opened the door for him and let him in . He walked toward his wife who was holding there child

" So did you have a name in mind ?" Sahira asked he tried to think and then saw a bouquet of flowers and in the middle of the bouqet was a soft pink lotus flower he smiled and grabbed it " lotus " he said as he marveled at how quiet and beautiful his daughter was but that was just the tip of the ice berg of problems for the king and his new daughter. The nurse smiled at the 3 and then the doctor came in to tell the parents the awful news " your grace I have something to tell you" he said a frown painted on his face " and that would be?" The king asked as he got off the bed with his wife and walked over to the doctor

" just follow me sir" the doctor said as he started walking out of the room his shoulders tense and unyielding ad he walked . The king followed the medical man. " sir I know this may be awful to hear but its about your daughter" he said staring straight into the blue worried eyes of the king
" what is wrong with her?" He asked a worried tone weaved through his usual calm one he must know what was wrong with his daughter

"Sir you see your daughter has S.P.D which is schiziod personality disorder which means in the future she will be emotionless and have a detachment from social relationships" he said trying his best to explain to the king

The king was awe stricken and heart broken his daughter would be emotionless and an outcast by society will she even talk or love him ? He had thought but showed no emotion towards the other man " thank you...for the information and services doctor you can leave now" he said showing seriousness but inside feeling sadness and worry for his daughter

The doctor nodded and collected his equipment and gear the nurse following him as he left the long and huge oak wood doors leaving the couple to face the truth of there beloved daughter.

18 years have passed since that faithful day , King Santiagos beautiful daughter lotus was turning 19 today and like the doctor had said she was a silent and emotionless outcast who people from time to time had forgotten she existed. Lotus had woken up to the bright light shining on her face she knew today wad her birthday but ,could care less about having any festivities she just wanted to be alone but knew she couldn't .

She had looked onto her desk and saw a beautiful sapphire blue dress that went to her knees covered in little small jewels she also saw a note and read it aloud " dear lotus your mother thought you would love it and I hope you will to sincerely your father " she looked over the dress up and down and decided to wear it to her birthday party.

At noon the party had begun family and friends were in the garden celebrating while the king waited for his daughter to arrive and come out of her room and to his luck she did she walked into the garden being the center of attention, but she had no smile but that didn't matter to the king he smiled at his daughter wishing her a happy birthday hoping maybe today she would at least crack a small smile but he knew he was getting his hopes up.

An hour into the party and one of the knights calmly walked into the garden to inform the king " your grace I must tell you something " the knight said urgency struck his voice "what is it ?" The king asked slightly annoyed

" your grace there coming " the knight said " who is coming ?" He asked " the spider people they have waged war on our land " the knight said "but they shouldn't be here for another hour or so " he said but.......he was wrong.

The borders of the castle were struck with canon balls the king watched in horror as some of his people were murdered in front of him and he saw something that would haunt him forever his daughters face as she looked at him it wad a face of horror soemthing he had never seen before.

He quickly ran to his daughter and grabbed her and placed her in a  carriage " Father....no please!" she said with emotion he smiled at her "it will be ok......just go " he said "No please....come with me " she said tears pouring down her cheeks " I love you lotus " he said and then had the carriage drive away with his daughter who showed her first emotion...fear .

He then looked for his wife and dropped to his knees when he saw his wife dead stabbed in the heart he was angered but decided he couldn't do anything that was the love of his life and he didn't save her but he knew he had saved his daughter.

" I'll see you on the other side my love"
