The exchange student

Sharp footsteps walked towards the classroom the teacher even stopped teaching when she heard the footsteps. The door opened with a slim and a short girl with tan skin, dark brown hair and shining chocolate brown eyes. She smiled at the class soon enough the teacher found her voice
"Excuse me, Miss, can I help you?" The teacher said
"I'm the exchange student? Were you not told I was coming?" Said the short girl in a calm and sweet voice with a small bit of a Spanish accent
"Oh silly me I forgot" said the teacher with a giggle "everyone this is Maria Onwélla"
"It is a pleasure to meet you all" said Maria with a bright smile
The whole class waved at her also smiling, it seemed to be contagious
"Well just go sit next to Star in the front" said the teacher as she pointed at a girl with ombre hair, she had one eye covered but the eye you could see was a lovely green colour she waved excitedly at Maria. Maria went and sat down next to Star.
"Hello!" Star said with a lovely excited tone
"Hi" chirruped Maria in her normal sweet voice
"So,sorry if this sounds rude, but the teacher said you were a exchange student so where are you from?" Asked Star
"Oh" Maria giggled "I am from Madrid in Spain" Maria answered
"Oh can you speak Spanish?!" Cheered Star with stars in her eyes
"Of course! Estoy muy emocionado de estar en esta escuela"
"I have no idea what you just said" said Star giggling
Suddenly the lesson had returned to normal and the teacher shut everyone up and started going on about algebra again. Soon class was over and it was lunch as Maria had come half way through the day
"Where do I sit" she thought looking around at everyone until she noticed Star "oh hey!" She walked over and sit down only to notice two other people with star "hola!"
"Hi Maria!" Star said with a big grin "oh yeah this is Ben and Jason" she said motioning at the two boys sitting next to her
"Hi I'm Maria, If you didn't hear, It is a pleasure to meet you"

Little did Maria know the trouble this little friend group would get into
