Emerald's Point Of View

I was dreading today, but I knew it had to come. Today was the official day that Justin and I no longer had to be married. The year was over. Pulling up to his house, the sweet moments that Justin and I had shared, flashed across my mind.

I loved him, and I fell for him hard.

Cracking open the door, I knew what I was walking into, divorce papers. I didn't see another options. Once I gave Justin my virginity, it bound us even tighter, however I knew it wasn't tight enough to keep us together.

Walking into the house, I dropped my keys in the bowl and chanted to myself how I wouldn't cry when I saw the papers.

Then it was the small padding of feet, that caused me to look up and a blue staffy was running towards me. Jumping to my knees in awe, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I looked at her small name tag, which said Daisy. I couldn't stop myself from picking her up. God she was gorgeous. I fell immediately in love, and knew then, this was Justin's parting gift to me. I walked into the lounge, overlooking the sea, and froze.

Kneeling on the ground, with the couches pushed to the side, and candles lit was Justin, and with a jewellery box open.

"Emerald, I promise to love you every day for the rest of my life and will protect you, and give you everything in my power."

My mouth dropped open, and putting the Daisy down, I walked towards him.

There was only one answer to his question.

"Yes." I grinned widely, and he was quick to wrap me up in arms. Swinging me around, then placing me on my feet, he slipped the ring on my finger. It was perfect, and just like our future together – it was flawless.
