It was a dark and starry night, when I was wondering through my room’s window when something beaming passed by my vision. I did not cared much about it that night, I directly went to my dusty old bed to sleep. The next day, my mom’s disgruntled voice woke me,
“It’s already late Mira! It’s time to harvest this month’s crops!” my mom screamed.
I rushed in changing my clothes, I did not even brushed my teeth or neither comb my hair, I was excited, this is my favorite day of the month, it is the day where I will harvest potatoes, well the fact that I am a couch potato but I really love potatoes. There’s that month where I only ate potatoes, and it felt great, but my mom scolded me because she said that it is not a healthy diet. Going back to the story, our village is located in the middle of a woods, where nothing special happens. Our potato farm is located far northern part of the woods near the falls, the falls serves as the water supply of our farm. Skip hopping while carrying an old weaved cloth sack, I reached the farm, I grabbed a shovel and started to dig the potatoes. It is tiring to dig potatoes because it is not just about digging, but also pulling them out of the hard soil of our farm. I put the dirty potatoes inside of the sack that I had. I am sweaty and dirty, I went to the water falls while carrying the potatoes so that I can take a bath. I removed all of my clothes and soaked myself, humming as I scrubbed my milky skin with a fine smooth stone. I swam across the falls, trying to reach the cavern behind it to reap mushrooms out of the mossy stones of the cavern. I really am scared of what’s inside of the darkest corners of the cavern so I always make sure to not wander off too far inside. I held the mushrooms as if it was my life. I swum back through falls, but as I waddle on my way, a huge rough hands grabbed my left foot, pulling me below the water’s abyss. I struggled but it is no use, my lungs ran out of air, I drowned.
Darkness, am I dead? The question that ran through my head that time. Suddenly,“Shhhhh…” a cold cracking voice muttered.
It is a voice of a man. That time I thought that I was about to be molested by a dirty criminal, but something more interesting happened.
“Where am I? Who are you? Why is it so dark in here?” I exclaimed.
“Shhhhh…” the voice replied.
A speck of lapis blue light materialized. The light slowly grew, swarming the place’s oblivion. It became too bright, it caused my eyes to shut. But then, darkness came again, I opened my eyes and saw a man, no! It is not a man, no! It is a man but it is not a human. It made my eyes bedazzle, I can’t help myself but to adore what it is seeing.
“Wow”
The man is tall, his skin is pale as if he has no blood in his body, he has beaming silver hair, his eyes were completely bluish white, and his lips were as pink as a newly bloomed rose. Instead of being scared, I found the man interesting.
“Where am I?” the man asked.
“What are you?” I replied
“I am not aware of what I am, but as far as I know, I am a living creature. But again, please, where am I?” the man asked.
“I don’t know. You are the one who brought me here!” I exclaimed.
“Sorry… I just really need some help… I am lost and the last thing that I can recall is darkness where specs of light can be seen.” The man explained.
“Mmmm… I guess you are not aware that you are in Earth? Am I right?”
“Earth? Oh! The moss planet.” The man recalled
“Moss? Never mind. But hey, where is this place?” I asked
“Behind the wet—”
As he said those words, I already guessed that I am inside of the cavern, again. I asked him to take me out of the place. His forehead glowed and it lit the way out of the cavern.
