"Goodnight, Lillian," My father said as he left my bedroom.
I stared at the ceiling of my bedroom and thought about the snow.
'He could be wrong,' I thought. 'Weathermen are always wrong, just like they were about the sun yesterday.'
I didn't get any sleep at all that night. I just kept thinking and brainstorming ideas for snow to happen. Once I did finally fall asleep, I had a dream that there was a snowstorm that took out all the power in the town. The snow was marvelous and so fluffy. Me and my friend Adrian actually went sledding!
I woke up at around 4:30 in the morning and started researching how to make snow happen. I knew it wasn't going to work, but I still wanted to try.
"Mom, Dad, wake up!" I yelled at them through the door.
"What is it Lillian?" my mother asked.
I knew that I wouldn't be able to get snow everywhere in NH, but I could definitely get it in my yard.
"We need to go to Home Depot. I need something."
My mother sighed and opened her door. Her and my father stepped out and went downstairs to get breakfast started while I went back upstairs to get dressed.
After I got done getting dressed, I grabbed my laptop and went onto The Home Depot website. I looked up fake snow and it came up with 5 gallon buskers of it! I was so happy. I looked at the price and they were only $10 each bucket, and I had $150 left over from my birthday(which was in July but I'm really good at saving money.) I went downstairs and met my parents at the dining room table where my mother had made buttermilk pancakes and bacon.
"Thanks mom," I said as I picked a piece of bacon up off of the plate and put it in my mouth.
After we ate we got into the truck and headed to Home Depot.
There would be snow, at least in my yard this Christmas.
