"MUMMY!DADDY!" The little boy screamed trying to run back into his house that was burning to the ground. He was held back by his elderly neighbour Jeremy. "No Johnny you can't go! Things will only get worse!" He tried to shrug off Jeremy's grip but couldn't. He screamed and thrashed, tears streaming down his face.
The fire fighters arrived and put the fire out. There were no survivors.
The little boy, Johnny, was heart broken. The people around him didn't think he'd ever be happy again until the day a new family arrived in town.
The new family had a son the same age as Johnny. He was in Johnny's class in nursery.
Johnny didn't notice him until one day when The boy saw Johnny crying. He immediately took it upon himself to cheer Johnny up by giving him his favourite teddy bear.
"You look sad. Please don't be sad! Here have my favourite Teddy bear! He is magical and will protect you!"
"Really?"
"Duh! It's bad to lie!"
The two boys never spoke again but Johnny never forgot about the boy who gave him a reason to live.
