Jack sat in a mess of bed sheets, one leg propped up on the wall and the other hanging off his bed. A controller sat in the grip of his hands, which were resting on his stomach. On his lovely day off, with a flat vacant of four very loud boys, Jack was lazily breezing through his 80th round of GTA. He could have easily done something a little more productive like gone out and gotten some exercise, but he was feeling too attached to his bed to try and move. He was living the dream.

But as was par for the course of sharing a flat, Jack's game sesh was rudely interrupted by the rattling of a key trying to unlock a front door, followed by boisterous laughing.

"mmmmMMMMM" he groaned to himself.

Earlier that day, Rye and Andy were thinking about going out for a bit to just have some fun, and with Mikey being home with his family, and him, being already buried in my pile of warm blankets, planning to stay there all day, Brook decided he wanted to go too. The two oldest boys grudgingly agreed to bring him along as long as he payed for himself. Brook had pouted pretty dramatically before agreeing to the terms. And with that, they were off, leaving Jack in the pure bliss of silence.

But we can't have nice things for very long can we. *sigh*

Jack decided to roll out of bed to find out what all the excitement was about. He walked towards the kitchen to discover Rye and Andy sat together on the couch, laughing like a bunch of hyenas.

"And the look on his face- AHAHA- I can't, it was hilarious!!" Andy cackled, a shrill laugh following shortly after.

"And he chased the car for a bit didn't he?" Rye choked out before the two of them burst into another fit of laughter.

"What in the world are you getting all excited about?" Jack finally spoke up, curiosity nipping at his brain. What could possibly be so funny...

"We- aha- left Brook at an abandoned gas station." Rye pushed out, wiping a tear from his eye. Jack's mind, as if in a car going 100 kilos an hour, slammed on the breaks.

"You did WHAT?!?!"

"Aha- Don't freak okay? It's only twenty minutes away!! We were planning on going back in an hour."

"Ryan- Andy- DO YOU FUCKIN HERE YOURSELVES?! WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE HIM AT A GAS STATION!!"

"It was a joke. Mate, calm down really, it'll be fine." Andy joined. Jack honestly usually didn't care enough about the stupid things his band mates did to get all worked up, but something about leaving a half capable, easily frightened Brooklyn in the middle of nowhere, IN THE WINTER MIND YOU, was very unsettling and nerve racking.

"It's mid November and snowing outside, he's by himself, and you still plan on not going back fOR ANOTHER 40 MINUTES!! AND THE SUN IS GOING DOWN!! IT'S GONNA BE DARK SOON!! YOU GUYS ARE INSANE!! THIS IS BROOKLYN WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HERE!! BROOKLYN!! Does he even have any of his things?! His phone?! Wallet?!" Jack continued to angrily lecture as he pulled out his phone. He searched for Brook's contact and pressed it, only for a soft ring to go off coming from the couch. Rye pulled out none other than Brook's phone from one of his back pockets, soon discovering that Brook's wallet was in the other.

"Oh."

"Oh my fucking god." Jack ran a hand anxiously over his face and then through his hair. "That's it, I'm getting an uber to go get him. Where is he?"

"Uuhh..." Andy looked at Rye, who only looked back at Andy. Jack's eyes went wide.

"Don't tell me..." he began. The two looked at the Irish lad, guilt filling their eyes. Jack began to fume.

"YOU DON'T FUCKING REMEMBER WHERE HE IS?!? HOW THE FUCK DO YOU FORGET WHERE YOU LEAVE SOMEONE IF YOUR GOING BACK TO GET THEM LATER?!?! YOU GUYS ARE UNBELIEVABLE!!!!" The brunette began to pace angrily, racking his brain for a Plan B.

"W-wait, I might have something." Andy stuttered, his slight fear of how angry Jack was and his realization of how bad an idea this was, motivating his brain to remember a video he took. "We took this to look back on later."

Jack and Rye both leaned into the screen as Andy pressed play. Jack watched as Brook was urged to get out of the car at a rundown gas station because Rye wanted to 'show him something'. The blonde boy took only a couple steps before Rye told the driver to hit the gas, spraying snow from the back wheel. Brook's eyes soon filled with what could only be described as terror, as he realized what was going on. Jack just stared in shock as he watched Brook try and chase the car, the sounds of Rye and Andy's rippling laughter echoing from the speakers of the small device. When the video ended, the room became silent, but they could all hear the steam piping from Jack's ears. He harshly smacked both Rye and Andy upside the head.

"OW!!" They yipped in unison.

"That's what you get. Now give me the phone." Andy handed Jack his phone, the boy clicking the screen to check the location above the video. "Bingo." He muttered. Walking over to the door, he slipped his shoes on and looked back at the two pranksters, who were looking even guiltier than before. "This isn't over." he growled, as he grabbed his jacket and exited the front door.

Soon after calling for an uber, the car pulled up and Jack got in. The driver leant forward to view where he would be heading and seemed to be confused. He turned back to look at the boy.

"Are you sure this is where you want to go? You know this place has been out of service for a year now right?"

"Yeah I know. It's a long story, and if you don't mind I'm kinda in a hurry, I'm sorry."

"Yeah, yeah of course mate."

As the car slowly pulled out onto the road, Jack could only hope that Brook wasn't half frozen in the snow.
