"Crying?" Jack thought. He reached up, suddenly becoming aware of the tears on his face and the growing pain in his chest.

"I..." he began, "a dream, it must of been that dumb dream I just had. It's nothing." he chuckled, wiping the tears from his cheeks.

Without hesitation, Brook moved from the ground up onto the bed next to Jack and wrapped his arms around him. And that was all it took, because as soon as he knew it, Jack found himself letting the pain get to him. Tears poured down his face and his body shook. He hugged his arms tightly around Brook's shoulders.

"It's okay to cry Jack, you don't need to hold it back." Brook spoke softly, gently rubbing his back.

"It's a stupid fucking dream, honestly I shouldn't be crying like this." Jack choked, letting out a frustrated grunt.

"Hey, don't say that." Brook pulled back and held Jack's head between his hands. "If something makes you upset, you have every right to cry about it, especially when you don't cry at all. I honestly have never seen you cry. Maybe like, a few times but hardly ever. I don't even know how you manage it, I cry myself to sleep like, twice a week." he joked. Jack sniffled.

"You cry yourself to sleep?" Brook chuckled awkwardly, letting go of Jack's face.

"I mean... yeah sometimes. I guess I'm more discreet about it than I originally thought."

"Brook why haven't you told me? I would have been there for you right away." Brook smiled, reaching up to wiped Jack's tears with his thumb.

"Sometimes, when you have internal struggles that you know other's can't relate to, you feel like it's best not to bother them with it. I talk to my mum and that's all I really need. It's something I'm not really ready to share with you guys yet. I mean I'm still honestly more concerned that you neveR CRY. How." As a friendly smile appeared back on Brook's face, a smaller one was reflected onto Jack's. He really appreciating having such a welcoming person like Brook around. The taller boy leaned forward, hugging his blonde friend again, really needing the comfort. "Hey, so, what was your dream about?"

"I don't really wanna talk about it. It's fucking dumb."

"I bet it wasn't, but that's okay."

They sat in silence then. Just wallowing in each others presence. Jack was never one for longs hugs, but this. This was something else. It was as if Brook had put a spell on him, because he didn't want to leave. He just wanted to stay there forever, and forget about everything and everyone. But alas, he knew he couldn't, he never wanted to push his feelings onto Brook, he didn't deserve that. So he let go. He pulled away from the hug and wiped his eyes. He felt Brook's hands slip from his arms and linger near his knees before retreating back to his body. When Jack opened his eyes, he was met with Brook's worried ones, gazing deep into his soul. He was doing that thing, where he tried to figure out what someone was thinking about or feeling, just by looking into their eyes. He did that often, and it was hard to look away when he did. He seemed so focused, so calm, so... beautiful.

Then it was happening, all so quickly, Jack's heart began to pound, and his thoughts began to haze. He couldn't stop his hurting heart. It began to overpower his mind.

Without thinking, Jack leaned in towards Brook and kissed him. Just, straight up kissed him. Any fear or second thoughts were thrown straight out the window. His heart surged in his chest and his skin began to tingle, the glorious feeling enveloping his frame, cradling his pain away. It took only mere seconds for Brook to react, tentatively reaching up to cup Jack's cheeks, gently pressing their lips closer together. The feeling was beyond anything the brunette had ever felt, and when Brook chose to move his lips, Jack's heart blared like a siren. All of his senses became overwhelmed with the feeling of ecstasy, his body and soul phasing between one another. Their lips danced together, the kiss becoming increasingly desperate and their breaths becoming more ragged. When they seperated for air and their foreheads pressed together, it took nothing more than Brook's needy eyes looking back into his to reel Jack back in, connecting their lips once more. Still on the bed, the taller boy slowly backed Brook into the wall behind him, giving him enough leverage to wrap his arms around Jack's neck and pull their bodies together.
