I shouldn't have come to this Halloween party, " I told my best friend.

" you know what Calie there are some magazines there go and read one until the part ends and stop being boring," Alex my best friend said.

I decided to celebrate Halloween this year for the first time with my friends at a party instead of spending it with scary books and movies, and I really regret my decision.

I nodded and walked to where the magazines were and picked one that caught my eyes, it was a worn out looking magazine. The cover was totally black and nothing was written on it, dust was covering it as I grabbed it.

I opened it and realized it was about mythological creatures

I felt a cold shiver run down my spine as I read the word.

Or the words I tried to read.

"What the hell!" I frowned and tried to detect which language was this as I continued saying the words without understanding anything.

I was about to close it when I realized that some article was written in English.

It talked about Vampires, Di gens and more mythological creatures that always fascinated me.

The things I read about them in the article fascinated me but my fascination came to a halt when the lights went out

I heard it and I jerked off the couch and looked around although I could see nothing.

and another and another.

"GUYS, WHAT'S HAPPENING? " I yelled.

But no one answered.

I heard footsteps coming towards me, then I heard the sound of even breath and felt the cold rush of air on my nape.

I felt like a cold bucket of water has been thrown on me,  my blood froze in my view and fear crawled to my system.

luckily the light came back, but I wish it didn't.

I was watching with horror with the rest of the remaining people in the room

No one dared to move or make a sound.

Afraid they would be next.

Afraid that this isn't a trick.

Even after I saw the body's in front of me I refused to believe what happened, this can't be real it must be a trick.

I turned to the rest.

"Okay guys this is a really sick joke; whoever did this you can tell them to stop pretending now " I tried to smile through my packing state.

They all stared at me like I have grown two heads.

My yelling stopped when we saw something glowing red flying through the air
