addison and i walk back through the door and we run straight up to her room. we fall on the bed laughing and out of breath. i look up and see sammy, i forgot she was here.
"oh. hey sam," i say patting the bed.
"hey," she says, "how did it go?"
"what do you mean?"
"you went to the police station duh. i'm not as stupid as you think jacob."
"i guess it went good."
"liar. good never means good."
"you're right. but i don't know how it went."
"what do you mean?"
"did it go well? i don't know. what's good in this situation?"
"true."
"when's your tiger beat thing?"
"3ish."
"what are you doing today?"
"interview. the shoot is tomorrow."
"okay. you should leave soon, you haven't seen la traffic yet."
"true."
"how are you getting there?"
"uber."
"you want me to come?"
"in fact, yes i do. the whole uber thing scares me. being in a car with someone i don't know, especially as a girl."
"i could sense some nervousness. i'll call it now."
"thanks."
within minutes the uber was outside and sammy and i were in the car and on our way. we're sitting in silence. a comfortable silence, distracted by our phones. i'm scrolling through instagram when i get a notification.

thehollywoodfix an amber alert was sent out for #jacobmoore yesterday. he was seen walking into a LAPD station earlier today. something was then leaked. (link in bio for full video)
i felt like crying. i don't need everything about me revealed. i bring me knees to my face and drop my phone.
"you good jake?" sammy asks me. i forgot she was here with me.
"yep," i say.
"liar."
"fine. the hollywood fix fucking leaked the fact i went to the police department."
"they really don't understand people's privacy do they?"
"nope. no paparazzi do."
"that'll be me soon won't it?"
"i'm afraid so. i'm sorry you're getting pulled into this sam."
"are you kidding me! this is the best thing ever. you're letting me do what i love."
"thanks sam," i say hugging her.
AUTHORS NOTE
i have my first high school swim team practice today and i don't wanna go. i hurt my elbow in early december and i couldn't swim until two weeks ago and since then i've done one practice and am extremely out of shape so i'm gonna have fun
