Peter had just gotten home, after getting his suit taken away. Luckily, he managed to remake Karen into a cat form, so he gets to keep her. But when he walks through the door, he already knows something's wrong. Peter already felt awful from the ferry, what else went wrong. But when he walked into the kitchen, his heart stopped. On the ground, was Aunt May, her eyes closed, skin pale, and not breathing. Peter screamed and cried as he dropped to the floor next to her, shaking her as if it will wake her up. After about a minute of sobbing, he typed 911 and explained shakily that his aunt was laying on the floor, not breathing.
1 hour later
Peter sat in the hospital room, right next to May's dead body. Karen, the black cat, was sitting next to him. The doctors asked if he had somewhere to go, but he couldn't answer. His throat was dry, but his eyes were soaking wet. Suddenly, a woman came in.
"Peter Parker?" She asked. He just nodded.
"My name is Clarissa, I'm from child services, I need to know if you have somewhere to go." Was all she said, cutting to the chase, thank God.
"Y-yes." Peter managed out. It wasn't a lie, he could stay at a friend's house for a while. Clarissa just nodded sympathetically and left the room. Peter looked at his phone. Happy? He wouldn't even answer. Ned? His family couldn't support another kid. MJ? Same with her. Mr. Stark? Out of the question, not after that. It was then that one name popped up, one that he just stared at for a while. His oldest friend, and arguably his best friend. Yes, he had a friend before Ned, one he met on the internet. If they couldn't help him, he had only one other to go to, and he was someone Mr. Stark wasn't particularly fond of. Peter took a deep breath, and pressed call. It only rang once.
"Peter?" Came a voice in question.
"H-hey, Shuri." He sobbed out.
"Peter, what's wrong?!" Shuri asked in worry.
"A-Aunt May, sh-she's-" Peter couldn't finish before breaking down again, but Shuri got the message.
"Oh my God, Peter, I'm so sorry. Wait, but do you not have anywhere to go?" She asked, her voice cracking a bit. Peter smiled, knowing that she cared enough about May to cry a bit.
"Uh, that's the problem, I-I don't. And I can't go into the system. Please, can I stay in Wakanda for a bit?" Peter finally asked. If she said no, she said no.
"Of course, we will be there soon, don't worry." Shuri said, and hung up. Peter just stared at the phone, not wanting to look at May's dead body. We? T'challa and Bucky. Peter met T'challa through Shuri and they became good friends, and Bucky was also someone he knew a while ago. They both knew it was him from the Civil War, the hand thing was a fun joke they played before, but Peter could have beaten him if he wanted to. He then scrolled back up to Mr. Stark and Happy. Would they miss him? Would they even know he was gone? No, they wouldn't, he knew that. If Peter lived in Wakanda, he could get from there to here in five minutes with the small invisible jet he and Shuri made when they were eight.
"Peter?" A robotic voice asked. He looked down to Karen's robotic green cat eyes.
"Don't worry, Shuri's coming to get us." Peter said, knowing what Karen was concerned about. She just nodded and jumped on his lap, and he just cried as he hugged her.
After another ten minutes, Clarissa came back in.
"Peter, there are a few people here to see you." She said as Shuri and T'challa walked in. Their eyes landing on May's dead body, Shuri began the tear up and T'challa's just looked sad. Peter stood up shakily, Karen still in his arms as he walked over. Shuri hugged him as T'challa put a hand on his shoulder.
"Bucky's in the jet." Shuri whispered. He nodded in understanding.
"Are you ready to go?" T'challa asked. Peter took one more look at May's body, knowing it'd be the last time he did, he had so many things he wanted to say to her, but only said a few words.
"I love you, Aunt May." He sobbed before following the two royals out of the hospital.
They walked into a forest behind the hospital, and there sat a big, black jet, black enough to blend in with the sky. As they walked aboard, Bucky hugged Peter, and he simply hugged back, tears still streaming.
After ten minutes of flying, they finally made it to the Wakandian Castle.
"You may stay here as long as you like. Again, we are all sorry for your loss, Peter." T'challa told him as he walked in, his eyes full of sympathy.
"Thank you." He choked out. Shuri's eyes suddenly brightened up with an idea.
"Hey, why don't we watch vines! That always makes me feel better." Shuri offered. Peter then weakly smiled and nodded. She then dragged him to the theater room to watch vines all night. T'challa and Bucky just shook their heads.
In the morning, Peter woke up in the bed he sleeps in when he comes over, only now it would be his permanent bed. He sat up, and he sobbed, remembering yesterday. He put his head in his hands, and let the tears go.
After three more hours of crying and repeatedly falling back asleep, he finally got up for breakfast. Sitting at the table was Shuri, T'challa, Bucky, and their mother. (sorry, don't know her name, could someone please tell me?!) Their mother looked at him, sympathy in her eyes.
"Peter, I heard about what happened, I'm so sorry. May was a wonderful woman." She said, placing her hand on his shoulder as he sat down. He gave her a small and weak smile.
"We will arrange a funeral for her tomorrow, but is there anywhere specific you would like to bury her?" T'challa asked, his voice soft.
"Can she be buried here? She always loved this place, and said if we ever moved out of the country, it'd be here." Peter asked and the king smiled at him.
"Of course." Was all he said before the chefs came out with breakfast. They all knew what everyone there liked, however, Peter hardly ate before saying he'd finish it for lunch. Sadly, he never did. He and Shuri spent time together, her trying to make him feel better, which he very much appreciated.
The next day, they had the funeral planned out. May would be buried in a cemetery only royals and their close friends and relatives were buried, and both May and Peter were close friends. Many people showed up, most people in Wakanda knowing both Peter and May, well, knew May. It was a hard day, many cried, but none could compare to Peter's sadness of losing his last living relative. But he was so greatful for all the support he got from everyone, especially Shuri, T'challa, Bucky, Thor, and Loki. Yes, you read right, Thor and Loki. Peter had also met Loki on the internet and met Thor through Loki. They were all good friends, and Peter wouldn't trade them for the world.
