The colorful autumn leaves make a satisfying crunch beneath my grey, suede boots on my walk to school as I hum a cheerful song and adjust the strap of my bag. I could see the building in the distance getting larger as I neared, ending up swept in with the crowd of students heading inside. The inside of the school looks pretty bland, the only pop of color being the bright red lockers against the white and beige of the halls. I stop in front of a slightly dented one with the number 121 at the top and enter my combination before opening it up. I toss in my bag and take what I need, stopping for a moment to smile at the spirit board I brought with me today, but that's for later. I'm lucky enough to be blessed with an open campus lunch, and I know the perfect, quiet place to talk to Jack in private. On occasion, I like to go behind the bleachers of the football field in the back of the school. Not too many people hang out there, especially now that the weather is too cold for most, but today I thought ahead, wearing one of my warmer jackets along with an orange scarf.

"Meow." I jumped in surprise and looked down to find Whiskers had mysteriously appeared at my feet, seated like a fine gentleman. I shake my head at him and crouch down to pet his head and scratch his chin, earning a cheerful purr.

"You snuck in again, didn't you, you little stalker?" I giggle and stand up straight before heading in the direction of my World History class. "We better hurry before class starts." School was long and boring, as usual, but I found myself distracted for most of my lessons anyway. After what felt like ages, everyone was released for lunch, and I headed straight for the bleachers after picking up my ouija board from the locker. I sit down after finding a suitable spot and set up with Whiskers kindly warming up my lap. I scratch his back in appreciation before touching the planchette and calling out to the Halloween Spirit.
