I did not work to hard on this, it was more of a vent write. There are no warnings, but it was sad for me to write. I dedicate this to someone I love, for I am the moon and she is the world's masterpiece I wish I could keep. I apologize for the terrible work.
It was a dark night, one of the nights where you could feel the darkness around you.
There was a girl leaning against a tree.
She had long blonde hair, her skin as pale as the moon. She wore leggings and a tee shirt, nothing special.
What was special were her eyes.
They store at the moon, looking as if her iris was made of hundreds of crystals. Hundreds of colors mixed together to make the perfect masterpiece.
When she broke her gaze, turning to look down, you could see the tears falling.
She started shaking, as she curled herself into a ball. The tears never ended.
She eventually stood up shaking, still looking down as she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. She took one more glance at the moon before turning around.
“I'm sorry…” She was not apologizing to anything in her presence, more of an apostrophe.
If you looked closely you could see many bruises on her arms, a few scratches here and there.
She kept her head low because she felt pathetic.
The days went on and the girl hadn't gone outside at all. She went through her life as if it were a dream, for she wasn't living she was merely breathing.
She felt hopeless as she started to slip away from everyone, fighting to stay strong for the people she loved.
The moon watched, sneaking glimpses whenever it could.
The moon remembered spending nights together, she would tell him her secrets and trusted him with her heart.
The moon missed the girl, clouds beginning to block her from view. Storms and such began to appear, the moon began to lose hope.
But then, the clouds broke and he saw her again. And even through her brokenness all he saw was beauty, he tried to shine brighter to catch her attention, but the clouds came back too soon.
The moon loved the girl, no matter how far apart they were.
The moon started to realize that he was losing her, so he told the Sun, the stars, the ocean and all of nature to be beautiful for her.
Because the moon knew she was special.
The moon would watch over her and protect her as she grew older, waiting for the day when she would finally come back.
And one day, she did.
She layed on the grass, her body frail from age, looking up at the sky. The moon admired her, how through everything she was still beautiful.
She laid there for a while, gazing at the moon. She started talking to the moon, telling him everything that had happened, her eyes full of emotion with each tale. Sometimes full of tears and other times filled with laughter.
The moon listened, spreading its warmth to her. But, eventually she went inside. The moon longing for her to come back.
But this time she didn't.
The moon watched as they buried her in the grass, his light slowly fading.
Until the only way he could shine was with the Sun, reflecting its rays.
