This story starts 10 years ago during my highschool days, when I was in the worst place in my life. It was hard for me to reach the me of today, but as I look back on those days; I noticed that my life changed when I met her....

I was a social outcast, never fitting in with others. I sat alone drawing anything that came to my mind. I drew everyone having fun, myself and many others things. I've done this so many times. Repeating these empty days, drawing and drawing. February 15th was the day that all changed. I met her. Her name was Mai, Haruka Mai. A 3rd year, my senpai. She asked me if she could look at my drawings. When she saw my drawing of the tree in the school yard, she smiled and said " Wow, that's so good. Your drawing looks so nice." I can still remember what her face looked like and even now I smile when I think about it.

Everyday Haruka-senpai would come and look at my drawings. I saw her so many times that I could draw her from memory. I wished these days would last forever, but graduation came and I no longer saw Haruka-senpai. The next term started and my days grew empty again. I drew and drew, waiting for the school year to end.

Graduation day came and I had forgotten about Haruka-senpai. It would have stayed that way, until I saw her waving to me before the ceremony. I fell to my knees crying. After the ceremony, she told me of how she always remembered her lonely kouhai that drew under the tree in the school yard. I smiled and showed her my drawing of her. It was my best piece of art.
