Je t'aime

The white-haired Prussian stood in the doorway of the nursery watching his husband comfort their newborn son. The blond was sitting in a chair looking out of a window that overlooked the garden, swimming in moonlight. The only light source in the room was a lamp next to their child's crib.

Gilbert smiled softly as his husband started softly singing a lullaby to his child.

Je t'aime, je t'aime toujour
I am forever yours
Sweet dreams, sweet dreams mon cher
You're always in my prayer

Gilbert slowly made his way to his partner, trying not to disturb him. Their child's cries become softer as he started to listen to his papa's voice.

Softly, sweetly
Wrapped up in heaven's arms
Sailing, soaring over the moon
Gathering stardust
Be still, be safe, be sure
Je t'aime, je t'aime toujour

Gilbert reached his husband and put his hand on his shoulder and smiled down at his son and partner. Mathew glanced at this husband and turned back to face his son.

Wishing, praying
All of your dreams come true

Always in my prayer

The pair watched as their son drifted off to sleep. The blond Canadian stood up and placed his child in the crib, making sure not to wake him up. He stood back and wrapped his husband around the waist as the pair looked at their sleeping miracle.

Gilbert kissed his smaller husband on the top of his head.
"That was beautiful birdie," the Prussian smiled.
"Thanks. It was a song that my own father used to sing to me when I was a  child," his husband replied.
"Je t'aime Mathew," the white-haired male told his french speaking partner. He got used to speaking the phrase to his loving husband. The smaller of the too but his arms around his husband's neck and kissed him. Gilbert put his own hands around his husband's waist and pulled him close.
"Je t'aime tellement mon amour," the Canadian whispered to his husband before the pair left to go to their own room.
