It was the little things I loved about the Prussian. The little things he did that made me fall in love with him more and more each day. We had been together for 10 years. 10 years of him doing adorable little things that made me fall in love with him even more.

10 years of back hugs while I did the dishes or while I was pruning the flowers in the garden. 10 years of him saying ' I love you', even for the smallest of things. 10 years of waking up beside him, an arm always wrapped around my waist as if I was going to leave him. 10 years of him leaving cute little notes on the fridge before going to work. 10 years of having the most amazing person in my life.

Nothing could change the way I feel about Gilbert. I've loved him for so long, I can't remember what not having him in my life was like. Every time I looked into his big red eyes, my heart flutters like a butterfly. Every time our hands intertwine, butterflies erupt in my stomach. I knew I loved this man, more than anything else.

As I lay in bed, my awesome boyfriend, hugging me in his sleep, I couldn't help but think back to my favourite memory of the two of us. GIlbert had surprised me with tickets to an ice hockey game for my birthday. It was amazing, the Canadian team doing their best as always. It wasn't until half time when it happened. The Canadian team had spelt 'I ♡ U' in on the ice, the captain saying "Happy Birthday Matthew". I cried with happiness, not knowing that Gil had planned it.
I looked over to my sleeping husband and kissed him on the forehead.
"I love you Gilly, and all your little things," I whispered.

AN: This has bwen sitting in the drafts since 2019 and I cant believe I never posted it 😭
