I take in a deep breath of the night's cool air as I quietly close the door to my home. Something in my mind tugs at me, urging me to stay, but I push it aside. If I don't go now, I won't see him until school. I close my eyes and take a step off the porch, towards freedom.

I begin to walk into the field when I hear the click of the front door closing. I take in a sharp breath. No, not now Harry, I think to myself. I turn around to see George? No, Fred.  He still has two ears and that foolish smirk.

"And just where do you think you're going?" Fred asks.

"I think you know exactly where I'm going," I scowl. Fred is the only person who knows of my little secret.

Fred's smirk begins to fade. "Ginny, now is not the time to go off snogging you're little git. You saw what those Death Eaters did to George tonight. We wouldn't be able to bare losing you too,"

I sigh. "I know, Fred. I'm 16. I would think I understand the fact that we are all in danger. But he said he could meet me tonight. He said it was safe."

"His father is a Death Eater, Ginny! His idea of safe is not like our's." Fred raises his voice, but only slightly.

"Now is not the time to get snappy with me, Fred. I saw you and Hermione during dinner. Stealing more than a few glances, are we?"

That seems to have done it. Fred closes his mouth and doesn't speak again as I walk away from the safety of my home.

"I'll be back before morning," I call to Fred.

I continue my walk to our designated meeting place, but before long, fear of feeling lost begins to grow on me. Something snaps to my right. I pull out my wand and peer into the high grass. Silence. I take in a deep breath and try to shake away the fear, but only to hear rustling from my left.

"D-Draco?" I stutter. For a moment, there is only shuffling behind the grass. I reach my hand out and push the grass aside.

"Ginny," Draco's face appears, but I can sense something is bothering him. I reach out to hold his hand.

"Is something wrong?" I ask, but he just shakes his head. "Hey," I start, but I'm cut off by his embrace. He wraps his arms around me and rests his head on top of mine. Something is definitely wrong, but I keep silent and try to comfort him as best as I can.

We stay like this for a moment or so until he takes in a shaky breath and mutters, "He was going to kill me,"

Dumbledore's death. Harry had told me Draco was going to do it, but didn't. I understood it as he couldn't bring himself to kill him. He never wanted to.

"I know, Draco. I know," I say. He looks down to me, the mask he wears to school is broken. "Don't look now, but your vulnerable is showing," I smile.

He gives me a weak smile, but his eyes read fear.
