Remember the times when you were a little kid?
Those times that old people insist on calling 'the good ol' days'?
The times when you finger painted painted blobs, and refused to color inside the lines?
When the only thing there was to worry about was if Johnny ws going to share his marbles and if mommy packed those awesome fruit gummies in your lunch.
No matter how annoying you find it when your peers constantly remind you not to grow up too fast, and all you want to do is grow up quicker, once youve experienced the darker side of life, you suddenly find yourself yearning for those innocent years of your childhood.
And this, reader, this is where my story begins. In no means is a story of beautiful rainbows popping up everywhere you skip along, kissing in the rain or any of that sentimental shit about walking hand in hand along the beach and watching the sunset.
No, my story is unfortunately, much darker. filled with betrayal, heartaches, murder, and other, much darker things. So, dear reader, by no means is this, what you would call a "happy book".
Because, there was no happy ending for me.
No riding off in the sunset, no getting the guy of my dreams, or even finding happiness in the small things.
So I must give you fair warning. Because if you were looking for a happy ending, Im telling you now that you wont find it here.
So thats it. Were taking off the safety harness, tearing out the night light, and turning you away from warm comforting arms, trying, and failing to sheild you from the cruel world.
Theres no turning back.
And so, this is where my story begins.
The day a dark seed was planted in my heart, Destined to grow larger and blacker with each day, until the moment where I lost myself completely.
The day I looked in the mirror and no longer saw myself, but the hollow shell of a broken girl.
The day my heart was completely and utterly shatered, never to be repaired.
And it was all because of a boy.
And his name, was Alex.
