LOVE....again?

"OMG!  haven't you heard yet?? well, then let me tell you girls all about it..!

The school's prom king ELVIN NASHWOOD is back in town!!!"

Rosary and Sharyn could not believe what they had just heard.

Both of them stared at Beth as if she had just told her that they were about to die...

"Aren't you guys excited and happy??!" Beth asked them with sheer joy in her voice.

"Excited?  HAPPY?! you must be kidding me.." Rosary thought sarcastically.

"uh..yes. Yes we are.." she lied..

Rosary's POV

"Damn! Why did that boy HAVE to return after all this time..?!!"

I hate it.

I really really really HATE what is happening today...Most precisely, right now.

Sharyn is quiet....she hasn't said much after hearing the "NEWS".

And I hate to see her like this. It's not her usual behaviour to stay this quiet.

We're in the cafeteria and unlike all the other girls who are busy gossiping and giggling as they eat their lunch, we two are just sitting at our usual table...staring at our food and not eating anything..

I look at Sharyn and I can see that she's deep in thought...her eyes reflect pain.

"C'mon Sharyn, let's eat...I'm hungry." I lied to her, trying to make her eat.

She just gives me a look and I know she won't eat...at least not now.

I reach for my juice and drink slowly...thinking hard.

"What will happen now...I don't want history to repeat again. I don't want Sharyn to get hurt. Please god, make this trouble go away."

*sigh*

"Sharyn...at least drink up the juice..." I say to her.

"um..okay.." she agrees.

After another 5 minutes of silence, the bell rang.

Time for our next class...French, which is both of our fav.

*After school is over...*

"Sharyn, my parents and brother are attending my mum's cousin's birthday party. So they won't be home today..they'll only arrive tomorrow evening...wanna come over?" I asked.

"Yeah okay....it sounds fun. But first, let's pick up my things and go to your place." Sharyn said.

"Okie dokie" I said smiling.

She smiled too...After a whole day of sadness,  she smiled..

We went to her house and picked up some of her essentials and after buying some food from the nearby store,  we went to my house.

"Let's finish our assignments first and then..watch a movie,  okay?" I said.

"Okay.." Sharyn said.

*sigh* she's still sad...I can hear it in her voice. ..she's just trying to fake that smile...I hate that boy ALOT...its all because of him..

We finished our assignments exactly at 7 o'clock. And I began searching for a movie from my collection for us to watch.

"Sharyn, let's watch a horror flick,  all rightie?" I said playfully, my eyes still in the DVD. Sharyn did not reply. I looked away form the DVD and saw that she was looking outside the window of my room.

"Sharyn. ..?"

She's still deep in thought..

Sharyn's POV

He has returned..

He's back in town...

I still remember his looks...has he changed in all these years?

*sigh* I DON'T CARE!

"Sharyn..??" Rosary's voice brought me back in present.

"huh??" I said, confused.

"Are you even listening to me, girl?" Rosary pretended to be angry.

"Oh..sorry I didn't hear you. .What was it that you were saying? " I asked her smiling..but I know that she already knows that I'm faking my smile. After all, she's my bestiee.

*Rosary rolled her eyes in fake irritation* "let's watch a horror movie, okay?" she said.

"Okie dokie girl!" I said trying to cheer up both of us.

I don't wanna bring up the topic about the "news" which we had heard in school.

It's just brings bad and hurtful memories..not just for me but for Rosary as well...but the only difference right now is that she isn't showing her emotions and is trying to cheer me up.

In these past five years,  Rosary has tried to become strong but I know there's this fragile part of her taht breaks her down time and again....

After watching the movie, I almost forgot about the return of that boy.

And,  I bet it was the same for Rosary as well as she was sacred to death after that movie! *hahahaha* :D

"Woah. ..! THAT is some movie! it brought goosebumps all over my body!" Rosary said rubbing her arms.

"Yeah, it totally was Scary! " I agreed.

Then, suddenly, Rosary became serious and I knew that look...

"No Rose, I don't wanna talk about it." I said as I knew what was coming.

"Shar, I know it's hard but we need to talk 'bout it...to make the pain a little...less?" she said.

"*sigh* I don't care that he has returned." I said matter of factly.

"Shar, I want it to be like that but I seriously doubt that you don't care..." she said biting her lip.

*ugghh...This girl knows so much*

"That's why I'm your best friend" Rosary said as if she read my thoughts..and I Love her for that because she's the only one I can share my feelings with...And,  she's the only one who understands me.

"I don't wanna care about it, you know? Let's just ignore that boy and carry on with our normal life...We don't want compilations,  do we?" I said winking at her.

She giggled and said, "yeah! let's just ignore the bad and carry on...After all we've got a life"

We high five and eventually,  forgot about the return of that boy and just gossiped about our celebrity crushes. *smiles*
