Under the scrutiny of the small town of Rainshall and his austere mother, Elijah finds himself under gruelling circumstances. Either he fills his father's role as the King's right hand man or faces exile from his own home.
Elijah is a seventeen year old boy who has struggled in the shadow of his father. Magic was his father's greatest weapon, Elijah however has been unable to access the gift. Without which his own mother casts him from his home into a world much different from his own.
