"You know you didn't need to pay for that right I could have gotten it at least let me get the door". Mot open the door for the both of them then joined him at his side before he replied. "Fine but how about I walk you home after all these boots are walking but this kind of weather is for talking"
Mot let out small chuckle as he gave her a wink before lighting another cigarette. "Oh that's very sweet of you but don't you have other stuff to do"
"Believe me I need a distraction and I've got time don't worry now lead the way"
The two exited the Denny's and mot began to lead him to her home while thinking about how this whole thing started. If she was being honest she didn't expect him to treat her to pancakes like that or anything of this really.
It had started off with just a few small puns about solar stuff and here. Now here they where mot in a simple blue hoodie with snake shirt underneath and jeans. The shape person besides her simply responded to sun so that's what she called him. He had on his suit and tie like normal, plus to his size shifting he was taller then her but she was used to people being taller then her, so it didn't bother her too much. Suddenly something warm rested on her shoulder and she turned to see sun looking at her confused.
"Oh um my bad guess I was spacing out again just thinking about stuff"
"That's fine but mind telling me what your thinking about"
"Just small stuff like my s- oh I forgot to ask ya this sun but what's ya' favorite kind desert"
"Oh well I'm not the biggest fan of sweets so anything's alright I guess"
"Ok well don't go spacing out on me honey"
"Pffff sweetheart your out of this world and you know it"
It was at this point mot could almost feel her face heat up, thankfully for her she could blame it on the cold air around them as she didn't do to well with complements. Plus it was fall and she was already missing warmer weather. So she tightened her hoodie around herself and snorted at the pun.
"Sun you really are trying to brighten my day huh"
"Well I got a million degrees in puns and that laughs is a bonus so it's a win win"
"True true but I gotta ask ya something if ya don't mind"
"Oh? Go right a head"
"So your the sun there for your the warmest thing here thus explaining why you warm my heart"
She gave him finger guns and he let out a laugh before he returned the favor needless to say the two went back and forth for a while yet when they arrived at mots door she seemed to be pondering something as she decided to make up her mind. Soft hissing making it from underneath the door as she spoke. Sun gave the door an odd look before turning back to her about to ask her what the noise was when she cut him off.
"If your not doing anything later would ya' like to come inside I can make ya' something if ya' want"
"First I would love to and second I'm good thanks but your offer is kind"
Mot lead him inside and sun soon found out the source of the hissing. A small purple snake and very large snake made their way over to the two. The smaller quickly climbed up mot till they reached her shoulder where they nuzzled her face then wrapped themselves around the back of mots neck before they noticed sun and in an instant began to hiss loudly which do to their small size and the fact they were being muffled by mots hair. The largest one flicked their tongue out at sun before slithering over to the couch and laying across it as it's full body could now be seen being longer then the couch itself. Both snakes gave the celestial being a warning via glares and hissing yet mot didn't seem to mind this as she began to describe they two.
"Oh don't mind them they're just trying to keep me and themselves safe ya know They don't want people coming through that door whom their just gonna bite down on ya feel me anyway the sweetheart on my neck is cherry he is the smallest I have but is the most protective of the bunch along many other things. His favorite thing are attention body heat and not sharing the last two he might be a gremlin but I love him ya know. Now the angel on the couch is called coconut and she is so adorable I just know you'll love her because she's so cute and long so theirs a lot to pet so I'm sure you'l-"
Mot having been lighten up when talking about her snakes stopped for a bit before she spoke once more.
"oh I'm sorry I'm rambling again now if you don't mind telling me a bit about yourself honey because your shine is drawing me in like a mot-h to a flame"
"Well when you put it like that I guess it's a long story sweetheart"
"Perfect if it's long you can tell me it while I'm baking cupcakes because a few friends of mine like a theme of said cupcakes so just follow me to the kitchen"
As mot lead sun to the kitchen the business shape noticed picture of mot holding what appeared to be a girl with pink and black hair and small paint of a woman with blue eyes straight black hair and the frame simply said for marry. Further along the wall you had more frames of pictures and a small chunk of frames for snake documents to prove they do belong to her but that painting was the only thing that was out of the ordinary in comparison to the rest of the house. Yet if sun wanted to ponder that thought more he would have to save it as mot had already preheated the oven and got out the stuff needed for cupcakes.
Sun took a place by the counter watching her gather the bowls, plastic cups, flavoring and frosting but then pulled out a pan for decorations seemingly to let them get to room temperature. Thus he began to tell his story while she got to work cracking eggs and mixed them in with a 1/4 a teaspoon of vanilla flavoring. As sun spoke he looked at the design topping, Some of them were shapes others were of new freshs a few cubes and helicopters along with a few boats and last but not least 2 small little suns that reminded him of when he was using his cutesy face or when he was younger.
Yet when he looked back at mot she was already putting them in the oven and starting to work on the frosting. Separating the frosting into different cups then dying them different colors waiting for the cupcakes to be done while sun rambling slipped into a comfortable silence between the two as the solar being was now just watching her work as she jumped on chairs to grab stuff for the decorations then watching her whip the frosting to the right shades of yellow, blue, orange and pink. The mixture of sugar and cigarette smoke made for a lovely scent that filled the room then sooner then expected a small beep came from a timer and she took the cupcakes out placing them near the frosting to cool while she pulled out a small plastic box, followed by a big brown box and carefully removed the cupcakes from the pan. She locked eyes with sun then grinned at him before returning to the cupcakes starting on a boat in first. Call him egotistical but he couldn't stop starting at those two small suns and before he knew it's she picked them up and placed them on different cupcakes one sun in to the cupcakes on the brown box the other one the plastic one. Mot attached a small note onto the box then gave him a wide grin and pushed the plastic box to him. Taking his hand she lead him to the door a sad look on her face as she opened it before speaking.
"Take it sunshine I've seen how you've been staring at them both and I got another so take it as a thanks for treating me and those lovely puns of yours"
"It was my treat you don't have to"
"Ok well then I wanted to now as much as I love having you around I've got 3 more batches to make so I can't walk you home so thanks for coming and come back soon love sorry for kicking you out so suddenly but that someone who asked for those cupcakes don't do to well with other ya know and I don't want them freaking out so bye sunshine"
Sun looked at the cupcakes in a box and the number on top of said box before walking out of the house chuckling to himself as he pulled out his phone and saved the number having a feel he was in for a ride or at the very least had a new companion.
