Ch 3 - Trust me...

What is Alfred saying? What did Mystery do? Is that why people where staring at us? I don't know what he means by that, but him saying that in a cold voice made me shake. "what do you mean, I haven't done anything since last week!?" Mystery said with a deep voice I've never heard from him "oooh really now? then explain why you were at my house threatening me with a syringe!" i stare at one another as they argue trying not to get involved "what do you mean, i was with Rex the whole day!" "wait what? that wasn't you? i couldn't have been high nor hallucinating... are you telling the truth Mystery?" i kept staring at Mystery "what did i say?"

 he said sticking out his tongue "hmm well sounds good enough... still don't trust you though" Alfred said as he walked over to his desk "here Mystery" he grabbed five lollipops "i give you these as a token in not killing my best friend or um guardian angel, also so that you can leave me alone" Mystery grabbed the lollipops and shoved all five of them in his mouth without taking the wrapper off, ew. 

"thank you Freddy, well i'll be seeing you two someday, mostly you though" he said as he pointed at Alfred, oh right, he takes therapy with him "alright then, BYE!" he said closing the door "Kao" he said to me "yeah what is it" "i don't you should trust him" he looked at me dead in the eyes which made me kinda panic "why? i mean i know he has done stuff but he can be a good person" i said to him which made him make a certain face i couldn't describe "he can be a bit of a different person but that's besides the point, just don't trust him, okay?" maybe he's saying this because he's very protective but that's besides the point, he probably wants to keep me safe

"pfft i'm your guardian angel AND your best friend, what's the worst that could happen?" when i said that i had a stinging feeling in my heart making me groan in pain, i think bad luck is on my side today "are you okay?" "yeah i'm fine, just got a slight pain in my body" i got up and walked to the door and waved goodbye to Alfred. I started walking down the hallway only to get stinging pain again in the heart but this time in my leg too making me limp and hold onto the wall for support. I saw Mystery still hanging out here talking to Ben, they both saw me and waved at me, i limped over to them and they saw i was struggling to walk so Ben grabbed me by the arm.

"hey buddy, what's with the leg?" Ben asked me with his deep voice "it just hurts, never had this type of pain before" i looked at my leg then at the big dog in front of me "hmm could be that your leg got cramped" Mystery suggested "well it'll go away anytime soon, now i have to get back to work, goodbye Kao!" he walked to a patient waiting at a door "so Mystery, you doing something? i'm kinda bored and Ito doesn't come home in seven more hours" i looked at him waiting for a reply "i think i remembered that me and Rexy-boo were gonna go somewhere, i think it was the park nearby" a park? doesn't sound too bad, plus i won't get bored around Rex!

"and as for you Kao, i need to tell you a little secret but we can't say it in public" he told me whispering loudly in my ear "ok well we can go in the break room, right now there shouldn't be anyone there" we walked to the break room were i was correct that nobody was here. Mystery then grabbed my shoulders "i heard the conversation you and Alfred had about me before i left, do you actually think i would lie to both of you?" he caught me with his quick question that i had trouble responding "w-well sometimes you can lie but that doesn't mean that we're not friends" i thought about it better in my head "just trust me... okay?"

 he pleaded me with puppy dog eyes that i couldn't say no to "i do, it's just you know how Alfred is with you and me" i said looking at the window "well let's go to my house now!" wasn't he serious just a minute ago? guess he can control his emotions pretty well "let's go!" i walked along side Mystery all the way to his house but every time i took a step, the pain would come back bit by bit

we finally got to the house where i could see Rex through the window. before i could knock on the door he opened it and gave me a tight hug before doing it to Mystery "i haven't seen you in a long time Kao! this day will be exciting, please come in!" i went inside their house for the first time, seemed like every inch of this place was decorated with pretty pastel colors but what threw me off was a bunch of bitten cacti in the corner "would you like anything?" he asked me with his usual chirpy voice "a glass of milk would be nice" he nodded and went to the kitchen

i still wondered why i'm in so much pain... was it because i didn't eat anything today or is it something else?
