(Brooks had a normal childhood, great parents and sibling all looking out for each other. That was until his little sister was kidnapped. The whole time went looking for her, Brooks especially. He would be searching all night for her and even started sleepwalking. His parents decided to send him to boarding school in an attempt to get his mind off his sister. Of course it didn't work. When he became 18 he already knew what he wanted to be. A police officer so he could stop this from happening to any one else. He trained and managed to become one and a pretty good one at that.)
