I was trembling in fear when my mother told me that she didn't have enough money to feed both of us. While I was packing to leave, I was thinking about things like living on the streets or being in foster care, I clearly didn't want or liked that type of life.

Once I finished packing up my things, my mother guided me to the front door, pushed me and slammed the door behind her. I looked back, looking through the window which showed where the front door connected to the foyer. I could see my mother crying, knowing that she lost both me and dad.

As I walked the streets onto the curb, I start to reminisce about all the things that have gone through my life until I was eighteen. I remember how it felt to live in a family.

My childhood; it was like a dream, a peaceful world, where everything was perfect. Sakuratera  (Town) was filled with rowdy cars, people chattering, the aroma of street food stands; you can tell this was a perfect life for me. My mother was a carefree type of person, she took care of our family well. She was the most ideal mother you could ask for. As for my father, as told by my mother, he was murdered by a youkai (a supernatural being); I barely saw him because of that.

I was walking down the street, heading toward the park. I was thinking about the moments in my life, I remembered when I first went to a shrine and got a 'bad luck' for my fortune, I thought I was done for. It appeared that my mother comforted me by saying that when you get a 'bad luck' fortune, it is actually good luck due to the fact that barely anybody gets it. I laughed softly due to my idiocy.
