Chapiter 38

Gaster P.O.V

I was in the Lab finishing the last preparation for the official launch of the Core. Chimera and Naga were verify their stations to make sure everything is on order along side with the other scientists. I sigh with all the check-up list in my hand. So many thing to do! I thought. I was looking at the computer to make sure everything is in order when I hear the metal door slide. I didn't took my eyes off the computer but I hear rattle bones coming toward me.

"Daddy! Are you almost done?" Papyrus said hugging one of my legs. I write down one more line and I look down at my son.

"Soon Papyrus. I need to finish this last check-up" I said to him. He pout in disapointement but nod before he let go of my leg. He went toward my wife and his brother.

"Don't be sad paps. Your daddy need to finish it and he will come play with us. So for now go to the other room with your brother. I will be right back" She said patting the top of his skull. Sans took paps hands and leave the room. She look at them go and went toward me. I smile at her and I lean to kiss her.

"How far are you guys are before the 'Core' is ready?" She said looking at the computer screen. I warp a arm around her and look the screen too.

"Soon really... Maybe another hour? I still need Chimera and Naga updates before the launch." I said looking at Alice. She nod in respond still looking at the screen.

"To think we made it this far..." She said in awe of our work. I chuckle at her cute reaction and I look back at the screen.

"Yes we did hon. Together we did it along side with the other scientists. But really if you haven't being there with your knowleges of the surface technologies... I would still being struggling with the numbers and calculation." I said. She giggles at that and I feel her arm around my back as she lean closer to me.

"I am glad I could help... It's always being a dream that my work is use for the greatest good than hurt." She said as she sigh. That statement make me curious about it.

"Did something happen in the past that your work end up hurting people?" I said looking down at her. She nod and glance at me.

"I made this machine I call S.A.V.E.. it's suppose to hold the SOUL to crack completly so their will be have a chance to heal and save the person life..." She said.

"That is a interesting concept. Especially if we use it on monsters soul." I said amaze of what she did and make. She nod and manage a small smile.

"However, some other scientists see it as a weapon for torturing people and such..." She said her expression change to saddness. I pull her closer and take her hand. She look at me and  smile as she turn around to face me.

"But if it wasn't this misunderstanding with them... I wouldn't have meeting you, sans, Papyrus, Chimera, Naga, Anahita, Laura and their children." She said squeezing my hand. I squeeze it back and caressing her cheek.

"Whatever misunderstanding it is... I am glad you are now there with us and also..." I touch her swollen belly. "Our child will make us a complet family" I said. She smile and lean closer to me. I bend down just enough to meet her lips with mines. It was a long but a lovely kiss we share before we pull away. Then I feel my phone ring on my pocket. I was still holding her hand as I respond to the call.

"Hello?" I said.

"O-oh b-b-boss! W-we are d-d-done with t-the c-check-up!" Naga said.

"Good. How about Chimera side?" I said.

"I-it's o-operational! J-j-just n-need y-you t-t-to a-activate the C-core s-s-sir!" He said.

"Alright I will do it." I said as I close the phone. I look at Alice who start at the screen once more. I smile at her.
