Dark Alley

I walk down the dark alley,
With three lights or so,
Nobody is with me,
Wait, do I really know?

I've never walked this pathway,
It seemed so dark and dim,
Shadows form in such an array,
I turn around and I see him.

Frozen with loud heartbeats,
I couldn't even run,
Felt like in the movies,
But wasn't as much fun.

His glare was petrifying,
I managed to step back,
He took some from his pocket,
It was my favorite snack.

Come and have a bite,
He tried to lure me in,
Although I'm quite hungry,
He's about to make a sin.

I run for my dear life,
Away from this harsh man,
He tries to run after me,
But trips over a can.

I laughed a bit inside,
And continued to go,
Goodbye Mr. Darkness,
It's about time you should know.
