The dirty looks that used to be shot my way at school and even on the streets have almost completely disappeared, there are a few exceptions of course but just having Kris beside me makes everything a lot easier I think when I notice the people in the school cafeteria actually minding their own business.
I only listen to half of what Louis is saying while I play with the food on my plate. Louis who is seated next to me notices my lack of attention and hands me an apple. "Eat this, it's better for your diet than the junk that the school feeds us." He says as I reach for the fresh green apple that's handed to me. A shawdow moves closer towards the colorful cafeteria table that has been my only company along with Louis for the past few minutes.
I look up only to be greeted with Addy's bright face as she places her lunch plate across of mine and sits down, her short purple hair waving around by every move she makes. She shoots me a smile before she starts talking about what just happened in chemistry, nothing spectacular but Addy likes to over share. I catch my mind shifting off Addy and towards  Bronwyn and Nate who  walk into the cafeteria with their arms hooked into each other and I can't help but let out a chuckle. Addy who is slightly offended by my lack of interest looks at me with furrowed brows. "Why are you laughing?" She asks but there's no need to answer because Bronwyn already made her way towards her. Addy moves her eyes from Bronwyn to Nate and back and forth before a smirk appears on her face when she understands what's going on. "I see you two have found your way back to each other." She says while pricking bronwyn's side in a joking matter. "Yeah, it just happened." Bronwyn says while averting her gaze elsewhere. I still can't seem to get used to the fact that Addy and Bronwyn are besties now but they seem to have more in common than only being framed for murder.
It's fun like this, the light mood, I guess we're back to normal.
