"OK... Who else remembered that dodgeball game where we lost?!" I asked to the whole classroom.

"Well, didn't you lose by yourselves to the wind?" One of the students asked back.

I widened my eyes in shock.

"Hey... I'm serious. There is a winning group that time! There is Kei-Chan and Rena, Rena Ryugū!"

"I'm sorry, but who is this Renah Ryuhgu you are speaking off? Never heard of her."

That was my last conversation to the other students at school.

It was like this ever since the news concerning the cause of both of their deaths went public. People started to act as if both of them never existed.

Furthermore more mysteries shrouded around me as I am ready to move with my family to another city.

Satoko-Chan and Rika-Chan disappeared mysteriously without a trace, the only things I found inside Rika-Chan's home were Rika-Chan's Hoé, and Satoko-Chan's fanged teeth.

And as of now, before I entered the car with Shion, a journalist approached me.

"So, what is your relationship with Ryugū-San?" He asked readying his notebook and pen.

"Oh that, me and Rena were like... Close friends. Yeah, like that. We often met and played. But ever since Kei-Chan came she began to distance herself away from me and the others."

"Kei-Chan? You mean Maebara Keiichi?"

"Yes. Well, I had a crush on him too, but I wasn't that ignorant to other people just because of that."

"What is your last conversation you had with both of them?"

"Well, my last time speaking with Kei-Chan is after a game of truth or dare, in which I dare him to kiss Rena in front of me. He did so. While for Rena... It's really haunting my mind ever since."

"What did she say?"

"Well, that night after the game, I got worried and phoned Rena to have a chat, and to check on her. First one, I phoned her home's landline which her father answered. He said that Rena was at Kei-Chan's at the time."

"Let me guess, did you--"

"Yes, I phoned Kei-Chan's landline in which Rena answered. She told me that she want to have a sleepover which Kei-Chan said that it's OK, since his parents weren't at home. When I asked her if I can talk to him, she suddenly shouted NO! Loudly, but then she calms down and said that he's already asleep."

"Asleep? Do you hear something off from her words?"

"Yes, when she said Asleep, she sounded like as if she was forced to say it. And later on we said our goodnight, which she ended by saying I love you. The way she said that sounds really off. I could hear her sobbing and so, before the line went dead."

"OK... Final question, you are the one who found both of their bodies first. What pieces of evidence that you find?"

"OK... First I found that the front door and the crime scene's door which is the bedroom were both unlocked for some reason. Inside the crime scene itself, I saw a bloodied billhook attached to a wall beside Kei-Chan's corpse. He had a thin slit on his neck... And for Rena I found her hanging on a noose attached to one of the ceiling's foundation. Beside the bodies is a note that says May Oyashiro-Sama, Hinamizawa's god bless both of us in the next life! We will be Together, forever!"

"Anything you found odd on that note?"

"Yes. The handwriting isn't Rena's... Guh!" I gasped.

If Kei-Chan was slit in the neck by something as big as that billhook, how come that the slice is thin? Furthermore, who wrote that note if the handwriting on it wasn't Rena's?

I ended the interview right away, and went inside the car, then Kasai drove me and Shion away from the village, leaving the journalist in confusion.

-No One's POV

Days after both Mion and Shion left Hinamizawa, the village suffered a mysterious incident. The whole villagers were dead due to gas poisoning.

To this day... Nobody knew of who exactly is the perpetrator of the Ryugū tragedy. The truth was never found. The only conclusion that were made after the case is that it's a murder-suicide due to mental instability. The name Rena Ryugū was used as a term for scaring little children, who disobey their parents, and that her spirit would hang them if they did so.

-End

Author's Note: OK, that's the whole story mostly on Mion's POV, would you like me to write Rena's side of the story? Leave a comment if you want or not.
