A Mission For Another

Kimimaru *AKA: The Teller*

It's been fifty years or more since I accepted my lord's mission. Tsukiko and I have been wondering these lands ever since. The sphere hasn't broken and I can't keep myself from falling ill.

"Shira! Where are you?!" I heard many people call out.

I ran to hide myself in a small but wide cave. I watched as many shadows walked by. I tried not to make any noise as I walked deeper into the cave.

"Who's there?" I heard someone say.

"I mean no harm. I just came here to hide." I said trying to make out the figure in front of me.

"What's your name?" They said again this time I was able to see a young girl with black hair and pitch black eyes like mine standing in front of me. Her eyes narrowed as they turned bright red. Sharingan.

"I said what's your name?" She repeated.

"I'm Kimimaru and you are?" I asked trying to suppress a cough.

"Shira from the Uchiha clan. What brings you here?" Shira said taking out a kunai.

"Her." I said showing her Tsukiko. She dropped the kunai then walked slowly towards me.

"She's so cute. What's her name?" She said looking at Tsukiko in amusement.

"Her name is Tsukiko." I said looking down at her. I watched as Shira tried to touch Tsukiko. Then I got an idea.

"Shira, take her." I said handing her Tsukiko.

"What? I can't just take-"

"Yes you can. Just make sure nothing happens to her. If she seems to be unable to breathe give her some of your chakra. If the sphere were to break just take her to someone who you know that can take care of her. If the same thing that is happening to me happens to you do the same thing. Pass her on to someone else who would protect her. She will never grow as long as she's inside that sphere. Can I trust you to protect Tsukiko with your own life?" I asked. She was quite a moment then nodded.

"I will, I'll protect this child with my life." She said and I smiled.

"Shira Uchiha I pass on the mission that was given to me by my lord. Please Shira protect Tsukiko. She will one day restore peace in this world we live in." I said as Shira took Tsukiko and walked away from me.

"I'll protect her even if it coasts my life." And with that she ran out of the cave into the darkness of the night.

"I finally completed my mission my lord." I said as I walked out of the cave and laid down on the soft wet grass. I closed my eyes and waited for my time to come. Memories of Tsukiko and I went through my head as my body started to turn into dust. Tsukiko kept me alive for so many years. I was supposed to be dead so many years ago but my baby girl kept me alive.

I felt a tear fall down my face as I found it hard to breathe. I never noticed how hard it was not be able to see my baby girl.

"Never lose yourself Tsukiko. Be the person who you want to become. Don't just love yourself. Love others and show them the light. Your life is special as your light. Don't worry. *sob* I'll always be with you. Tsukiko."
