Chapter 29

After two weeks everything became the normal schedule, I would give the troops orders then go take care of Ruby until her nap time then go back with my troops. Strider and I each took turns feeding Ruby and watching her depending on what needed to get done. At the moment I was walking away from quarters after getting Ruby down for her nap, I actually handled my personal and work life pretty well and seemed to keep the Decepticons held together. My father eventually met Ruby to, though it took a few days after she was born for me to feel comfortable with it. Ratchet said it was something about carrier programming but I didn't pay much attention. “Hello Lilac, how is my daughter doing?” I smiled at my father as I walked into the command center, I had never been happier in my life and I enjoyed this. I was about to answer when the alarm went off telling me the Autobots escaped, I started fighting off Bulkhead as he crashed through the door of the command center and my father flew off to find Optimus. “Arcee says you should keep better optics on your sparklings.” I widened my optics at Bulkhead as he charged forward, Arcee was with my Ruby!! “Strider get to Ruby! Arcee may already be there hurry!!!” I called Strider as quickly as I could then started fighting Bulkhead, I actually took him down quicker than expected and ran to my quarters seeing no other Autobots on the way. When I opened the door I saw Strider laying on the floor with spilled energon everywhere! I rushed over to him and rolled him over seeing that he and Ruby were alright but unconscious. Sighing in relief I ran to the medbay hearing fighting come from inside, I opened the door and say Bumblebee pin Frenzy against the wall while Smokescreen fought off Ratchet. I transformed and tackled Bee allowing Frenzy to go help Ratchet but Bumblebee escaped along with Smokescreen. “You guys alright?” They looked at each other before nodding at me and yelling the injured troops, that's when I flew to the flight deck seeing Optimus Prime and my father fighting one on one with the cassettes trying to fend off Arcee.
