With one last strong kick to the door layered in ice, Fionna and Cake rushed inside.
"What the?..nothing's here!" Fionna couldn't believe this, she was certain she heard a voice a little bit ago. She kept her stance up though and continued to walk to the center of the room. Small icicles crunched under her shoes and Cake's paws padded loudly.
Fionna's left foot was stuck in place. She hadn't noticed and tried to continue walking leading to her collapsing onto the ice. "Aghh!" Fionna's hands clutched onto her knee where little crimson drops started to form. The ice had trapped cake as well, and the cat tried to get out by stretching, but all in vain.
"Okay baby, ice doesn't do this on its own! I think you were right thinkin someone was here!"
"Heh!" A small bit of laughter had escaped my lips as I watched them struggle.
"Hiyaa!" A sharp shattering was heard after Fionna's cry.
"Okay! I know there's someone here!"
I started laughing some more and lost my balance. I stumbled out from behind the throne and was greeted by a slice to my arm.
"Ahh! You little!" My anger rose and the crimson ice jutted out from my hand, sharpening into a deadly blade. I lunged at her but she turned her body out of the way. Fionna jumped at me, her sword raised but I caught it with mine, bracing against her strength. I reached out to this girl's mind, letting frost creep from me to her. A terrifying image appeared. My dear mother melting away into the ocean the castle had turned into.
"Agh!" A sharp pain in my chest. I had faltered and this bunny eared blondie sliced me straight in my sternum, barely missing my heart. Red filled my vision.
