                  "What do you mean, Steve?"

"You don't—won't understand Gia, you haven't ever done something like this."

"Well then make me understand." Georgia forcefully says. Looking across at her elder brother confused, she sits forward on the uncomfortable seats, slightly cocking her head. "This is what I understand," she continues when he doesn't speak. "You said you wanted to use some excerpts from my diary's, what I didn't expect was the whole fucking thing to be in your book. Word for word."

"Look, I'm sorry Gia." Steve apologies, finally breaking his silence, running his hands through his hair. "If you want the money, I can't give you it. I need it to pay for the book launch."

"For a book you didn't even write in the first place?" She retaliates, standing up. "You used my diary's, pictures, for god sake Steve you used our past, without mine or any of our siblings permission for money that you, and only you are going to use. Come on," Steve goes to interrupt but stops, "no. They were my personal diary's. Written when I was vulnerable. You said you understood. You said you would have a peak at them, take a few notes, not take the whole book and practically publish it for the world to see."

"Don't you see, Gia. I'm doing this for us, for the family!"

Scoffing, she shrugs his hand of her shoulder. "No your not. Have you even told the others that you have written, oh sorry, stolen and about to publish a book about our past?"

When he didn't reply Georgia shakes her head, saying to herself, "oh my god. I'm in on this now aren't I. They are going to think I helped you do this!"

"I have published it."

Eyebrows raised she turns to face him. "Excuse me?"

"Publication got accepted on Wednesday, the book is going to be in stores across America by the end of the month." He repeats, slowly sitting back down, his elbows resting on his knees, "I thought you would be happy for me."

"No," Georgia says, backing away from him until she neared the window that looked into his office, not believing what he had just told her but she knew it was when she saw the look on his face. "No, no, no! You haven't done this to our siblings. You haven't!"

"I—I—"

"You don't get to speak, ok?" Georgia cut him off, feeling like she was on fire. "Don't you understand Steve, this will destroy them. This will ruin poor Theo's memory's of mom, and poor Nelly, her childhood will be ruined. And even Luke, poor old Luke's vision of that house will be destroyed once he reads that book. But I bet you didn't even think of them, did you, you selfish prick!" When Steve didn't react to the names of their siblings, she strode towards him, her boots hitting the floor heavily, shaking his shoulders roughly when she got close enough. "When are you going to realise that you killed this family when you decided to publish that book."

After a few minutes of silence and Georgia's heavy breathing, Steve lifted his hands from his knees to place them on top of hers which were rested on his shoulders, gently pulling them away and putting them near her waist, still not letting go of her clammy hands. When he spoke up, he whispered to her, and the words made a chill go up her spine.

That was when she realised that Georgia would never be able to get out of this mess.
