you can make outlines within ibisPaint X, so you don't have to keep switching out between apps to make one.

I have 2 ways of making outlines.
1st way:
import your transparent by pressing the layers button, then press the camera.

duplicate the layer by pressing the button above the camera.

turn on the alpha lock on the bottom layer. it will turn blue to show that alpha lock is on.

after turning on alpha lock, take any color and color over that transparent, the transparent should become that color without going out of it.
turn off the top layer, and disable the alpha lock on the layer you colored on.

use the bucket tool and press the image you colored on multiple times. you'll see the image kinda grow¿ and that will be the outline.
go to the top layer and make that layer visible again. the outline will show after that.

2nd way:
import the picture and add a layer in between the background and picture by pressing the + button.

select the filters and scroll until you find the option named 'stroke (outer)' make sure it's in the 'refer to upper layer' option.

adjust the width and color to however you like and that's all for that!

while this way may be easier, sometimes the stroke goes all weird and puts outlines on parts that don't exist in the picture, so the first way could help if that happens ~
