This is the voice of my insecurities

This is the voice that keeps me prisoner to the
four walls it's built for me over the years

This is the voice so loud it makes me feel small

This is the voice that inhabits my head without paying rent

This is the voice that takes happiness but gives only pain

Now here is the girl who embraces her flaws and says "insecurity is not a word in my vocabulary"

Here is the girl who is free to be whoever she wants to be and embraces every possibility for growth

Here is the girl who owns every room and pays with confidence and kindness and respect

Here is the girl so optimistic that even the cloudiest days cannot drain her happiness away

Here is the girl who overcomes every obstacle that is thrown her way.

She is not perfect

She is brave

She has been hurt, scared, and torn

She has built herself up from the ground

She is a fighter,

She is warrior,

She is a perfectly imperfect being in this world of flawed humans

She is emotional

She is happy and sad and angry all at the same time

She is fierce

She is strong

She is passionate

She is not afraid

She is you

She is me and I am her.
