The Banished One

As I stood on the dock and looked out over the water,I could see my home,New Orleans,in the distance.I had a home here,a family and I didn't want that to change.

"Harley,"I turned around to see my brother Shane waiting for me."Its starting."Was all he said before he turned around and left to the council meeting.I took one more look to the water and left to go to meet the elders.

Walking past all the makeshift houses I see families laughing and having fun.I wish I had that life.They say when I was born mom was killed by The Extinction.My dad was saving me when he was killed.The elders brought everyone here after that.I am the last of our pack.I see the meeting hall ahead and fix my jacket then walk through the doors and sit next to my brother,waiting for the meeting to start.

I pull out my phone and look at the homescreen.A picture of my parents,smiling with my brother glares back at me.The room fills quickly and I fell confined in the tight space,ready to kill anyone who even looks at me the wrong way.The head elder stand and I put my phone back in my pocket ready for it to start.

"They are moving closer,taking over the city.Soon after it will be us,then they would have won,"one of the elder says."We need to tighten security.Shane,what is going on out there."He looks toward me and my brother.

"We are doing everything we can but it isn't enough.Send us to the city,take the fight to them."I smile a bit when he mentions the city.I haven't been there in forever and getting to fight the Extinction is even better.

"I agree with my brother on this one,"he looks down and smiles slightly at me."We need to take the fight to them,not let them come to us.Let us go out there,blend in with the rest of the city."I look at all the elders,then to my brother..

"What about the vampires.If they find out we have come back to the city then..."

"They won't know we have come back.You have to remember,they are also dealing with the extinction.They are dealing with the same fear,anger,anxiety."All of the elder look at me and my brother then begin to speak quietly with each other.

"We will let you go and stay in the city on two terms.You both have to stay out of trouble,and if you run into any vampires or soldiers you will kill them."I nod in agreement and my brother does the same.We leave the hall and walk to our small house to pack our things.

I walk in the door and straight to my room.I grab my duffel bag from my closet and start filling it with clothes.I pack some books,my ipod and a few other things I might need before I leave to meet my brother by our Ford pickup.

I throw my stuff into the back and climb into the passengers seat,Shane already waiting."You ready?"he asks me and I think to myself.

"Yes,"he starts the car and we leave the bayou for the first time,toward the city.Where the Extincition are ready for battle and the vampires roam the night.

-Hey guys.I know I haven't updated Alex Riddle in a while and I am getting to that.I've been on writers block for a while with that and can't think of anything to do.Myslef and my sister  mburgess99 have been thinking about doing this for a while.This is about a vampire,werewolf society.The Extincion have come to wipe out both races.My character,Harley,is a strong,skilled,and courageous werewolf. Her brother Shane is the leader of the security.They are assigned to go to the city to see what is going on since they live in the bayou of New Orleans.Mburgess is doing the vampire side with her character Cassara so if you want both POVs then go check out her story.I really want to continue doing this and thanks so much everyone.
