BRENT'S POV
I wake up from my dream breathing heavily. I get up and run to the infirmary.
"Daniel, I need to see him." I say to his brother.
He leads me to where Marky lays unconscious.
"Please leave me alone with him for a while?" I ask
He agrees and I walk in. I take his hand.
"Marky," I whisper, "It shouldn't be you dying. it should be me. All I am is evil. You shouldn't care about me. I'm unloveable and isolated. I don't have any friends. I want to die. I hate myself."
I am crying now. I decide to do what I hoped I never would have to do. I pull up my sleeves to reveal my arms full of scars, new and old. All of them done by me. What would Marky say if he were conscious? He would hate me even more.
"I'm sorry, Marky" I say, pulling down my sleeves.
"I love you. I love you more than anything in the world. More than Mcdonald's, More than myself please survive"
With that, i take everything in me and suck the darkness out of Marky. I run outside and follow my father's order, sticking my palm in the dirt and permanently releasing the dark magic out of me. I collapse.
MARKY'S POV
I awaken gasping for breath. Where is Brent? he was here! i know he was! I could hear him talking to me telling me things. But now he isn't here anymore.
"JULIAAAAA, DANIELLLL!! Im okay!!" I yell
"Markyyy!!!!" They come running in
"I want to see Brent" I say
I immediately feel bad because they are my siblings.
"I'll go get him, he is outside" Julia says gently.
They leave, and a minute or two later, Brent walks in
"Brent!" I smile weakly
"I'm sorry, Marky. it's my fault. I don't know if you still love me," he says "I'm a bad luck charm. The day we start dating, you almost die"
He looks down sadly. I reach my hand out to him, hoping he'll take it. He does, but barely.
"I heard you," I say quietly, "I heard you while I was. I saw what you did to yourself. You are not unloveable. I love you more than anything. If you died, I would not be able to continue. Please, don't hurt yourself. Stay with me. Stay with me always."
"Always?" he repeats skeptically
"Always."
"ATTENTION CAMP HALF-BLOOD! THERE WILL BE A CAMP MEETING IN 10 MINUTES" a voice I immediatelt recognize as Chirons calls.
"Lets go" I say
* In this chapter, Brent saves Marky by doing what Hades told him, they repeat their love for each other, and Chiron call a camp meeting.*
