DATE MISHAP
Her beauty is nothing to dream of. She is nothing but a bitch. How does she go around with her head up in the skies after everything she's done.I heard it over and over again. These words that tortured my soul and mind. I wasn't going to let it weigh me down anymore. I was going to be their homecoming queen. I had to do it.
I paced down the seven seas that surrounded us. The cool breeze that flew my cinnamon hair into the skies. The gentle waves at shore and the stars that had lined up in the night sky. I was cold. Even the leather jacket around my shoulders couldn't withstand the cold. I heavily breathed in and this familiar scent got caught in my nose. Was it the salty sea water? Nah. I forgot I had his jacket wrapped around me.
"Mol." he called. His voice strikes a chord in me. I turned swiftly to him and he stood on the stairs that led to the tree house. I could see his smile travel from the stairs. The night light shone on him revealing his perfectly sculpted body. He raked his hand in his hair and let the smile wear him. I did no mistake choosing him over my boyfriend. I coped with the insults at school. The insults about me being a backstabbing- cheating bitch. I made the right choice, I thought. "Hey Molly, can't get enough of my beauty?" he laughed.
"Coming." I said. I tugged the jacket over my shoulder and walked over to him. He held my hand and led me inside the tree house. "Wow." I blurted out. It felt like being in a fairy tale movie. This dream, was it real? I've been down for weeks now even though I have Shane. I had the boyfriend everyone dreamed of. Keith was bad for me. Never cared. Never loved. Shane always gave me butterflies even when I dated this moron. What wrong did I do when I chose Shane over him?
Homecoming was tomorrow. We agreed on a perfect date to get me in the mood. It was truly perfect. Felt like being in a fairy tale with the perfect boy. Finally had someone all to myself. Someone who loves the imperfect me. Someone who smiles at me and blocks the evil words out.
Inside this treehouse, I let him be the one to pleasure me. To take the pain away.Shane hurriedly stood up to turn on the music and accidentally slipped on a cushion ball a kid probably left in there. I gasped out when I heard the loud thump on the floor. "Shane." I hastily stood up from the bed and Shane was lying down in blood gagging out from his mouth. His head lay on a brick soaked with blood.
This was real.
I wasn't just going to lose my crown as the Homecoming Queen. I lost Shane too.
This date was a mishap.
