Another year at Greenfield school, but in a different building. Greenfields sixth-form building was opposite the actual school. I was walking across the field to the sixth-form centre, blasting music at full volume. Not paying attention to my surroundings, I trip over a small bump in the grass and hit my chin on a small, sharp stone which cuts me. I hear someone faintly calling to me but the music is still full volume so I can't make out who it is. I feel a hand on my arm and I look up at them, it's Ricky. "Hey Cari." He says softly, helping me up. He looks at me and brushes his finger over the cut, making me flinch slightly. "Hey Ricky." I smile at him.
Ricky is my boyfriend of 2 years. He asked me out 2 and a half years ago, I rejected him at first but then I said yes. We were bestfriends and followed each other everywhere.
"You okay? Your chin is bleeding." He said, hugging me. I nod and tell him that I'm okay. We walk to the building and catch up on the way, I hadn't seen him for a few weeks. I was glad we were going to the same sixth-form, I didn't want to be without him. We made our way to the café and bought a few snacks, sitting down at the sofa in the corner. "How's your break been?" He asked.
"It's been good, I didn't do much though. I helped out at a few shops and looked after my cousins most the time. What about you?" I said. He told me about his holiday at Brighton and how the beaches was amazing this year. "My mom said she couldn't take me away this year, but I don't mind." I said, but I did think it would be great to go away soon. I wanted to make money so maybe I could take my mom and me on holiday.
"You can come with me next time." He said, putting his arm around my shoulders and kissing the side of my head. We stood up and went to get our timetables from the front desk. We compared our lessons and had most of them together except a few. I took his had as we made our way to our first lesson, we were early so we just went in. The lessons was English and no one was in the room. We went straight to the back and put our bags down. "We have a few minutes to ourselves." I said, walking closer to him.
"We do, don't we." He said, smiling. I sat on the edge of the desk and he stood in front of me. His hand ran through my hair and he leaned in to kiss me. I kissed him back, slowly and passionately. I held the back of his neck and played with his hair. My legs wrapped around his waist, pulling him even closer to me. He held my waist and I chuckled slightly. Just then the door opened and we stopped kissing. A guy in a black suit came in carrying a box filled with papers and books. "Hope I wasn't interrupting anything..." The guy said sarcastically. He must be the teacher, I thought to myself. I must admit he is quite attractive and he looked young, his eyes lingered on me and then moved to Ricky for a second. "Are you guys in this class now?" He asked.
"Yeah, we are." I told him. I stood next to Ricky and he had his hand round my waist.
"What are your names?" The teacher asked. We told him our names and he looked for our picture in his folder. "Ah okay. Carina, you sit here and Rick, you sit there." He said, pointing at the front desk and looking at me. Ricky sat behind me so we could still talk in lesson.
"Sir?" Ricky said, "You can call me Ricky, I don't like Rick."
"Yeah fine." He mumbled, while looking through the papers on his desk. I was tempted to ask him how old he was but I didn't want to sound intrusive or weird. I decided to ask him anyway.
"Sir?" I asked. He looked at me and smiled.
"Yes?"
"How old are you, just out of interest. You look quite young." I said. He looked at me, still smiling. His curly hair covered his eyebrows so it was hard to see what his expression was.
"I'm 26" He said.
