Janice walked down the strret, keeping close to the sidewalk, but not walking directly on it. It was much too crowded with people heading to school to do that. Janice herself was heading to school also. She was very excited; it was the first day.

Because of this, Janice had dressed nicely, showering before she put on a white t-shirt, a floral jacket, and bleached blue jeans. She had also put on some makeup, a little eyeshadow and a light coat of  mascara and eyeliner, and had tied up her brown hair in a knot. Her gray flats hit the ground as she walked, making her all the more excited to hear this at school.

Before she knew it, she arrived right where she was going. She took a deep breath, then walked into the school, taking a whiff of the newly polished floor and perfume mixture from the girls. She headed straight to her locker, not wanting to waste anytime looking around.

She had filled her locker with all the nessecities for all her classes, so it was no time at all to grab a notebook, folder, pen, and pencils and go to her homeroom.

The teacher was in the classroom, along with multiple other students, probably as excited as Janice. The bell soon rang after 5 minutes of sitting, not saying a word. Chatter in the hallways died down, and the teacher stood up, and introduced herself as Ms.Folland.

The class also introduced themselves, and before she knew it, class had ended. After 5 more exciting, yet boring classes, Janice walked home, accomponied by her best friend from last year, Paige.

They didn't talk much about anything, they were just happy with each other's company. They soon departed, leaving Janice to walk down the block to her house on her own.

She quickly stepped up the short stairs to her house, almost tripping over something in front of the door.

"Huh?" Janice asked out loud. There was a box in front of the door, covered up by a blanket. Very unusual. Janice took the box to her room secretly, setting it down on the floor carefully.

She pulled the cloth from the top of the box, peeking inside. "Oh my god." she whispered. "A baby."
