A.N. sorry I haven't updated my work; Im travelling :P
Ana shifted her eyes. A bead of sweat rolled down the side of her face...or was that a tear? She stood in front of the classroom as the teacher had just urged her to introduce herself ("We never get new people, this is so exciting!" the teacher had said, blatantly trying to not breathe through her nose...)
Ana was so embarrassed; the stench from that stupid house clung to her, making the whole classroom hold their breath. This fucking blows.... she thought, making a mental note to take a long shower when she gets home...and to air out the house...
Her new classmates, waited in boredom and a bit of disgust for Ana to introduce herself.
"Hi I'm Ana...I'm from Toronto...yeah that's basically it..." Should she address the bad smell? Or would that be weird...
"My mom owns the funeral house so that's why I stink...if anyone was wondering." and there it was. Some of the kids laughed at this, and not in a good way. Shit, I should've said nothing... Ana thought. She wanted to bang her head against a brick wall and crawl into a small hole! She could see their leering eyes, sneers on their lips, this was the worst way to introduce herself.
She went to sit down at an empty desk in the back corner and holed herself there as the class went on. A few people looked back, only to look at their friends again and whisper something to each other.
Suddenly the door opened. And a boy walked in. Once again wearing a fucking plaid shirt. It was red. The boy had brown eyes and dark hair, his skin creamy. He had a boyish grin on his face as he lazily stroll into the class. Late.
The teacher look annoyed, she stopped writing on the chalkboard and turned towards the boy, "Mr. Kim you are late again!" some of the kids cheered and laughed at this. He shot a wink at them.
"Sorry Miss! My alarm didn't go off this morning..." He explained with a cheeky smile.
She gave him the evil eye and grumbled, "Fix your alarm then."
Ana kept staring at him as the whole debacle went on. Suddenly, the boy looked her way with a curious gaze. She immediately looked down at her desk and felt her face redden. Looking up, she saw that he was whispering something to the girl he sat next to, she whispered back and then he looked at Ana again. Who are you? they were wondering about each other. The boy kept turning his head around to look at her and at this moment, Ana forgot about her embarrassing introduction and the fact that she smelt like rotting corpses.
