She sleeps with a overwhelming calming power,
And around her is many a summer coloured flower.
The air filled of fragrant breezes that wander there,
Which create a ripple about her once auburn hair.
And, begin to stir about her silenced shape
To cover her in an protective earthy drape,
That is wreathed with flowers of this season's mystique
As the sun captures the fading colour in her cheek.
And captures sparkles about her life filled eyes,
Which are cast up into oblivion in summer skies.
She dreams fondly of her native home,
And the spots where she once had roam
Reminds her of her garlands of fresh wild flowers
Woven and braided in sunny afternoons for hours.
She dreamt of her home near that blessed shore
Where, upon entrance, grief and tears were never more
Than a spirit as guileless and pure as her own,
As fears stopped at the memories they were shown.
She saw her youthful blue eyes anxious for the world
As she had once fought the progression of age as she twirled.
A pair of eyes innocent and as bright as sun
Reflecting the colours of purity as she spun.
Eyes, of which held tight to a wondering gaze
Preoccupied dreams of adventure for entire days
Subtle and dainty lips pursed together tight,
Humming a tune of youthful delight
Carries the sound of joy through unclouded light
And wining its way to teach, graceful as an eagle’s flight.
The innocent smiles in all her rosy dreams
Of daintiest visions that no one seems
Concerned with scenes of mortal strife
And an allowance to ignore the shackles of life
Until, her face all red in a confusion
Is torn of the memory's intrusion
Her fragile arms in fear fly into the air
Greeted by the fragrant winds that wander there.
While laying among her temporary flowery bed
Smelling the scents that are framed about her head
She opens her eyes to reality's similar suns,
Surrounded by merely the memory of her loved ones.
As each a flower chosen carefully for their space,
Represents a loved's life they hath taken place.
Thus memories of her prized adolescent time
Where never was known of sorrow or crime
Could not begin to conceal the truths of present
Of a daily struggle of terms with the inevitable event.
Thoughts start a soft wind that stirs the summer leaves,
Introduces a group of startling and unexpected thieves.
Who viciously remove her memories from her mind:
Attacked her thoughts and left nothing behind.
