"Awaken, Arkane!" A Chocolate colored female canine growled at a younger Silver wolf. They both wore black eye-dots above their eyes. The younger wolf, Arkane, opened his blue eyes with a groan.
"What..." He mumbled, shifting in the bedding he slept in. His voice was low and tired.
"You're going to be late if you don't Wake now!" She growled again, shoving Arkane with her muzzle.
The silver wolf jumped up. "Oh my! I forgot about the ceremony!" He quickly shook off the bedding from his light fur. Although he was younger than the female, on his feet, he was still taller than her. He was classified as a masculine wolf at birth. In other words, he had a job range under the Hostile Titan. There was three Titans- Passion, Rationality, and Hostility. A canine pup was classified under one of them based on their physical build or species. Arkane classified as a Canis Lupus, or a gray wolf. He was placed under the Hostility Titan, because he was the largest wolf species, and could handle much of the military-like work at the right age with the right training. The smaller female looked like German shepherd, a domestic dog species. She seemed like she was classified under the Rationality Titan or Passion Titans. The female held the standard German shepherd black back cape that went to the tip of her tail, but it was harder to see with her dark fur color. Her legs also had black socks and her muzzle was black. She had lighter brown fur around her neck and chest that contrasted well with her dark fur. Arkane, on the other hand, was white light grey and silver. He had some black around his shoulders and black to the tip of his tail. He wasn't as colorful as the female.
"Why weren't you up an hour ago?!"
"I'm sorry! I stayed up a little later than i was supposed to last night. Please forgive me, Sheria." He bowed his head in apology.
"No worries. But lets get you ready instead of sitting around." The female, Sheria, hurried off. "C'mon!"
Arkane stumbled over to her quickly. He followed her while admiring the beautiful landscape he lived in. The healthy and bright green grass was soft under his paw pads. It was different from his den, which had a wore-down dirt ground. It was quite uncomfortable to step on all day, especially after a long hard day of training in a field for most of the day and your paws are tired.
He began reciting the verse he had to say in front of everyone at the ceremony. Just the thought of speaking in front of hundred of other canidae rattled him to the bone. I, Arkane, will devote my loyalty to the hostility Titan. I will prove my worth by.... Arkane paused. What did he want to be? There was so many choices. He didn't want to be under just one category. He wanted to help all the canines around him. He wanted to provide food for them, be it meat or herbs. He wanted to protect them, be it offense or defense. He wanted to help them all, he wanted to help make the right decisions with the Titans. Did every canine think like this when choosing?
The fur on his neck rose has his nervousness grew. They neared the ceremonial building, meant for the choosing. It was large and glorious, but it'd be even more glorious if Arkane wasn't so nervous right now. It's entrance was a grand arch, that didn't lead straight to the choosing room, but led down a hallway, and at the end, held the huge doors to the room. on each side of the door, the hallway turned and led to waiting rooms, where family could congratulate their children with this accomplishment. None of the parents could enter the choosing room with their children, since it was a sacred place and they had already been to choose their specialization. Arkane had no parents to cheer him on though. They both had been under the hostility Titan, and had died in battle shortly after he was born. All he had was a few friends, but he only regularly spent time with Sheria.
"Have you been reciting your vow?" Sheria suddenly asked, which made Arkane jump.
"Yessss....." He said, obviously lying.
