Chapter 12

[Jairo's POV]
As I am going to my next subject, I saw Ari and some guy annoyingly requesting her something. I came closer to them so I can hear clearly what they were talking about.
"So? Is it okay?" He insisted to her and I can see in Ari's eyes that she's desperate for help.
"A-ano kasi Chris eh-" she stuttered.
"Well?" He ask impatiently, so I have no choice but to speak in the middle of their talk.
"She can't go" I finally spoke which made their attentions looked at me.
"Excuse me?" The jerk ask suspiciously.
"Jairo?" Ari said shockingly. So I came forward to them and straighten up my figure and began to talk again.
"That's right! She can't come with you" I said to him which made him look furious at the moment.
"And who are you to tell me that?" He ask. Then I gave him an evil grin.
"She's my friend, got a problem with that?" I said raising my brows.
"I wouldn't say I have" he answered in defeat and walked away leaving me a death glare. Ha! As if I'm scared!!
As soon as the jerk is gone Ari quickly faced me and gave me a worried look.
"Are you okay?" She ask. I raise my right eye brow and ask her the same question.
"Are you okay?" She didn't utter a word for a moment then she replied.
"T-thanks for covering me, I wouldn't attend our review if it wasn't for you" she said giving me a warm smile.
"It's nothing were friends remember?" I said patting his head then gave her a warm smile as well.
"Tara pasok na tayo baka nanjan na ang professor" she said then we hurriedly came inside the room.

[Ari's POV]
The review went fine as I was save because of Jairo's help, pero another reason rin kung bakit ayaw kong mag patour kasi para hindi ko siya makasama muna. Mag aagree na nga sana ako eh pero buti nalang nanjan si Jairo I felt safe in his arms sana maging friends kami hanggang dulo. Uwian na pala namin at sasakay na sana ako ng kotse namin na bigla may humawak sa akin sa kamay ko.
"Ari we need to talk" sabi saakin ni Chris kaya tumango nalang ako. Pumunta kami sa campus garden nung una ang tahimik niya kaya medyo ang awkward ang state namin pero alam nyo naman ako ayaw ko ng ganun kaya sinimulan nalang ang conversation.
"I thought you were going to talk about something?" I ask then he cleared her throat and began to speak.
"Ahh yes... Well- is it true that the guy earlier was you're friend?" He ask suspiciously then I nodded in response. An awkward silence had begun again between us two so I decided to break it by asking him.
"So... Bakit ka pala nandito?" Tumingin siya saakin ng seryoso.
"I came back for you" he answered. I laugh sarcastically.
"Talaga?! Akala ko ba pag kakaalam ko sabi mo na hindi mo ako hahanapin o babalikan" sagot ko sa kanya kaya napatahimik siya.
"Alam mo past na yun, so pwede ba Mr. Heartthrob layuan mo muna ako kasi yung girlfriend mo malamang sa malamang magseselos yun" sabi ko walking out pero napatigil ako sa sinabi niya.
"Nag break na kami ni Aileen" napalingon ako ulit sa kanya with a blank expression.
"So? Anong magagawa ko? Share mo lang?" I said in recklessly tone.
"You can have me again" sabi niya kaya bigla ako na galit.
"Ano ako sa tingin mo? Buyer? Investor?" Sabi ko while tears starting to fell.
"Chris you know what? When you have Aileen I hoped and hoped na sana I could have you, I want to love you as much as she loves you pero ano ang pinawalaan ko? Wala!" Sabi ko sa kanya habang umiiyak.
"That's why I'm saying this, will you ever forgive me?" He ask an I quickly wiped the tears in my face.
"Alam mo nang na realize ko? That being friends with you was a mistake, but being in love with you was the fullest" I said then I run away leaving him behind.

Nakasakay na ako ng sasakyan at agad-agad rin kami umalis. Bella didn't wanna ask kung ano nangyari kasi halata naman sa expression ng mukha ko kung ano talaga nangyari. As I got home I buried myself to bed since this day was really exotic for me, gusto ko muna magpahinga, forgetting all what just happened kaya hinayaan nalang ako ni Bella, hanggang gabi naka hilata lang ako sa kama ko.

[Next Day]
It's the day of our performance and I'm getting my vocal chords ready as we made our way to our school. Pagdating namin ng school it is full of streamers and decorations parang may event.
"Anong meron?" Tanong sakin ni Bella.
"Malay ko? Bakit mo saakin tinatanong?" Pabalik kong tanong sa kanya. Pumunta kami sa loob ng campus at meron pa din ang mga decorations at streamers kaya na curious na talaga ako. Ano bang meron? Sa pagkakaalam ko mag perperform lang kami?!
"Siguro sobrang espesyal kasi ang pagkakanta natin mamaya?" Sabi sakin ni Bella. Talaga? I mean- it's not like it's should be special? Pumunta kami sa mga locker namin at inayos ang mga gamit namin nang bigla may inaanounce sa speaker.
"Students of Maxevelt University, please go to the campus theater right now" nang narinig ko yun, agad agad kami pumunta ni Bella.

As we got just in time at the campus theater many people are in the front chairs and students are at the back of them. As Bella and I where going find ourselves some seats we pass a maintenance who's polishing the floor and ask us.
"Mga hija saan kayo pupunta?" Bella and I looked at each other then faced again the the maintenance to answer her.
"Ahh ate ano kasi hinahanap mo namin ang section namin kasi nawawala po ata kami" I answered nicely while smile at her, then she smiled back and said
"Ah nandoon na sila sa backstage naghahanda, malapit na kasi magsimula ang program" paliwanag naman niya at agad naman kami pumunta ng backstage. Pero... Teka! Anong program?
"Hey Ari! You're here!" Pag bati agad sakin ni Jairo.
"Yeah, we're waiting literally for you two" sabat naman ni Kyle.
"Where have you been?" Tanong naman ni Raiko.
"Pasensya na ha! Naligaw lang" paliwanag ko sa kanila para naman kumalma. At buti naman tumahimik na rin except for one.
"Hey you're here! Where have you been?" Tanong sakin si Jaycee.
"Natrapik lang sa crowd, may angal? Wala a naman ah" sagot ko sa kanya but he just rolled his eyes and said
"Next time move a little bit faster, or else my grades will be up to hell" he said to me and I just nodded sarcastically to him.
"Oo na boss sorry na" I said to him with a smile. Then he suddenly grabbed my wrist and walked over to makeup dresser. Nang nakarating kami doon pinaupo niya ako sa makeup desk at tinapik niya ang isang makeup and hair stylist.
"Miss can you do something to my partner over here?" he asks, then stylist starting to examine me from head to toe then popped out a warm smile.
"Of course! She's really perfect for my newly created style!" She suggest then Jaycee nodded and said.
"And as soon as she's finish please dress her up" he said to them and they nodded and in response.
"Of course, it will be then in an minute" the stylists said.
"Okay do what you have to do but make it a little bit faster" he said to the stylist which she's already experimented my hair into some different chemicals. I remained silent hoping that hindi madamage ang buhok ko sa chemicals the same na rin sa mukha ko as the whole process went off.
