Odd Girl part 2

Lucy and I decided to go prom with a few friends and just hang out.

Prom Night

I climb into my dad's truck and drive to the school. As soon as I get there, I see Lucy by the gym doors with our friends. Looks like I'm the late one, like always. I climb out of the truck and go meet up with my friends. Sophia, Emma ,and Lucy all hug me when I get to them. Lucy kisses my cheek and my face slightly reddens at the contact. Sophia suggested that we go inside, and we all agreed.

Half an hour later

My friends are pressuring me to sing karaoke, so I oblige and go up to the stage to sing.

Everyone is staring at me, making me even more uncomfortable then I was, but I continue to sing.

Looking back, it's crazy I almost turned into the person people told me I, I should be

I finish the song and there is and awkward silence because everyone, even the teachers and chaperones, clap and cheer as I make my way back to my friends. Lucy clings onto me as soon as I get there. She kisses me. I am taken back and don't know what to do, so I just stands there like an idiot. I can only assume that my face is bright red. I go to Lucy and stand there for a  minute before kissing her. We both pull away from each other at the same time. Our faces are bright red and our friends are staring at us. I run out of the gym and get in the truck, but before I could even start the ignition, Lucy was climbing into the passenger side door. I start the ignition and drive to my house. We sat is silence the whole way there.
